More Human, Not Less: Skills and Potential in the Age of AI

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't. In the first full episode of Care More's next chapter, host Kristan Bush, CEO & Co-founder at Performance Paradigm, sits down with Jayney Howson, Chief Learning Officer at ServiceNow. Two learning leaders trading honest notes on what it actually takes to empower people to be human at work while everything around them changes. Kristan opens with the shift she keeps circling back to: as AI absorbs the technical work, the real differentiator left over is human — how you think, how you read a room, how you lead when the plan breaks down. Jayney takes it further into ServiceNow's "human advantage" framework and issues a challenge to every leader listening: stop layering AI onto old roles and redesign the work itself. From there it opens all the way up: Why AI is a chance to make learning more human, not less Co-creating change so people feel invested instead of managed, and the psychological safety that makes it possible The surprising power of constraint, and choosing "channels of information" over "channels of communication" Curiosity, cognitive offloading, and protecting the human muscles we're quietly letting degrade Leading with an ounce more courage than fear, and what Jayney's cancer survivorship taught her about gratitude and bravery High care and high expectations and Kristan's throughline that performance, like belonging, is an outcome you create the conditions for, never the starting point It's a conversation about learning. But really, it's two people insisting on the thing Performance Paradigm was built on: that humans are extraordinary, and our job is to build the conditions where people can thrive authentically.

    Empowering Voices in the Workplace

This episode of Care More Podcast features host Reggie Butler in conversation with Minda Harts, thought leader and author of four books, including The Memo, Right Within, You Are More Than Magic, and Talk to Me Nice. Minda shares how she found her voice through storytelling after her mental health deteriorated in corporate America. Through blogging, she found that her experiences resonated with many others who felt they couldn’t speak up. This episode explores the power of storytelling and offers advice for those wanting to share their own stories, including: Find your platform: Not every platform is right for everyone. Experiment to find the platform where you feel most comfortable. Tell your authentic story: Don’t try to be someone you’re not. Be true to yourself and your experiences. Remember the impact: Your story can inspire and empower others. Consider your future audience: What do they need to hear? Be vulnerable: Vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness. Reframe negative stories: Even difficult experiences can be reframed to find the good. Visual storytelling: Video is powerful and can help you connect with your audience. Reggie and Minda also discuss the importance of consistency in content creation, dealing with negative feedback, and finding the best version of yourself. They emphasize that everyone has a story to tell and encourage listeners to share their stories authentically.  Tune in to this inspiring conversation and discover the power of storytelling!
