Evil Dead Burn: Need We Say More?

Send us Fan Mail On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are kicking some serious Deadite butt over here. We watched the 2026 film from Sébastien Vaniček, Evil Dead Burn. Can anyone explain to us why someone would open up The Book of the Dead, an obviously cursed looking evil thing, and think, “Maybe I should speak the weirdo Latin that’s written in here?” We get that we need it for these movies to happen in the first place, but all those people are so dumb about it. Just throw it into a volcano. Sheesh! Anyway, this movie is a perfectly gruesome way to kick off this spooky month. Enjoy! Full Circle: Holy Student Film Vibes, Batman!

Send us Fan Mail On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are taking down their own worst enemies: their mothers. We watched the 2008 short film from Shareef McIntosh, Full Circle. Quick question: when you’re doing your home workouts, are you stripping down to your finest, sexiest lacey undies and getting all sweaty? If so, then have we got the movie for you! We’re wrapping up our month of September shorts by giving ourselves film school flashbacks, and probably not in a good way. Listen on to find out if we rated this one brilliant, a flunder, or the dreaded blunder. Love, Death & Robots: Bad Travelling: Red Lobster Fights Back

Send us Fan Mail On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are making a deal with the Thanapod! We watched the 2022 short film from David Fincher, Love, Death & Robots: Bad Travelling. It must have been hard enough to be a crew member on an old wooden boat sailing the Seven Seas, but when you throw a murderous new captain and a bloodthirsty giant crab monster in the mix? Suffice it to say, makes modern life seem not all that bad. I rarely have to worry about being eaten by crustaceans these days. Enjoy this week’s harrowing short film from Netflix’s excellent short film anthology series! Pretty Lethal: You Think You Know Pain?

Send us Fan Mail On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are dancing their way to freedom. We watched the 2026 film from Vicky Jewson, Pretty Lethal. Don’t you just hate it when you’re traveling around Eastern Europe with your ballet troupe and get stuck in a creepy inn with some of the worst men in the world? Aren’t you just tired of having to righteously murder your way out of there? If that resembles you, then do we have a B-movie that you won’t be able to help relating to. For this month’s B-movie, we’ll decide if this killer ballerina movie is brilliant, a flunder, or the dreaded blunder. Yojimbo: This Town Is Full of Men Who Deserve to Die

Send us Fan Mail On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are joined by podcast favorite, Eimanne, to save a village from a rival gang. We all watched the 1961 film from Akira Kurosawa, Yojimbo. Wandering the country looking for something to do? Have unparalleled sword fighting skills, but nowhere to use them? Willing to teach some bumbling villagers how to stand up for themselves? If that describes you, then have we got a classic film that’ll change your life! Whenever a Kurosawa film comes up, you know it’s going to be a good time on the podcast, especially so when we’re joined by such a lively, passionate guest. Deep Blue Sea: Chomp Chomp, Bitch!

Send us Fan Mail On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are barely escaping with our lives out in the open ocean. We watched the 1999 film from Renny Harlin, Deep Blue Sea. We’ve had it with these motherfucking sharks on this motherfucking remote underwater research facility! We don’t want to say that dealing with them isn’t worth possibly curing Alzheimer’s disease, but these fish are the worst. Not only do we get to see them chomp people into pieces, but they’re actually intelligent, too. It’s like trying to fight an aquatic Terminator! But as we all find out, LL Cool J will always be there for us.
