    Koffee with Mike Osuna

This episode is deeply personal.Mike Osuna has been my friend for almost 10 years, and this is a conversation I never imagined we would be having.Mike came on Koffee Mob to tell the story of his son, Lucas Osuna — not just the headlines, but what actually happened that day, what their family experienced, and what life has looked like since losing Lucas so suddenly. We talk about grief in its rawest form. We talk about faith, and I ask Mike where God fits into his life now after experiencing a loss no parent should ever have to endure. We talk about his wife, his family, how they are surviving the days that feel impossible, and the moments that continue to remind them of Lucas. Most importantly, Mike shares Lucas with us.Who he was. What he loved. The kind of son, brother, friend and athlete he was. And why his story now carries a much bigger purpose. This episode is also about awareness. Lucas’ passing brought Marfan syndrome into the conversation for so many people who had never heard of it before. Mike shares what their family learned, what they wish they had known, and why awareness and early detection matter. This is not an easy episode, but it is an important one. Please be thoughtful and kind in the comments. This is a real family, a real loss, and a father choosing to share one of the most painful parts of his life in hopes that Lucas’ story may help someone else. Long live #19 Lucas Osuna 2009–2025 #LucasOsuna #LongLive19 #MarfanSyndrome #KoffeeMob #Grief #Faith #ParentLoss #MarfanAwareness
