    Galatians 1:10 | Jesus + Nothing = Everything - Audio

What happens when our desire for people’s approval becomes more important than our desire to please God? Continuing the Jesus + Nothing = Everything series, Walt Troup teaches from Galatians 1:10 about the power of the gospel and the danger of seeking the approval of others. Paul makes it clear that following Jesus means living to please God rather than allowing the expectations, opinions, and approval of people to shape our faith. Through Jesus Christ, salvation is a gift of grace through faith, not something we can earn through good works, religious performance, or human effort. The gospel is powerful because Jesus is enough. In a culture shaped by comparison, social media, and the constant pursuit of affirmation, this message challenges us to turn our eyes toward Jesus, renew our minds, and find our identity in what Christ has already accomplished. Jesus + Nothing = Everything. Galatians 1:6-9 | Jesus + Nothing = Everything - Audio

What is the gospel, and why does it matter that we get it right? As we continue our study through Galatians, this message looks at Paul’s urgent warning against turning to a different gospel. The gospel is not something we improve by adding our efforts, religious traditions, or personal achievements. It is the good news of what God has accomplished through Jesus Christ. The call of Galatians 1 is both joyful and sobering: rejoice in the true gospel, cling to it, and resist anything that distorts the good news of Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:1-5, 11-24 | Jesus + Nothing = Everything - Audio

What happens when we believe that Jesus is enough, but still feel the need to add something to earn God’s approval? In the opening message of our new series, Pastor Doug begins a verse-by-verse journey through the book of Galatians and lays the foundation for one of the clearest truths of the gospel: Jesus + Nothing = Everything. Paul’s letter to the Galatians confronts the temptation to add human effort, religious performance, tradition, or self-righteousness to what Jesus has already accomplished. The gospel is not a message created by people, and it is not something we improve by adding our own achievements. It is the good news of grace through Jesus Christ. Persecuted | Enough: A Series on the Beatitudes - Audio

What happens when following Jesus costs you something? In this final message of the Enough series, Pastor Doug takes us back to the Beatitudes in Matthew 5 and focuses on Jesus’ challenging words: “God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.” The Beatitudes have shown us a radically different picture of what it means to live a blessed and flourishing life. Jesus turns the values of the world upside down, calling His followers to humility, mercy, righteousness, purity, peacemaking—and ultimately, faithfulness even when that faithfulness brings opposition. Persecution isn't always comfortable, and it isn't always easy to recognize. But Jesus makes it clear that following Him means belonging to a different Kingdom. When the world pushes back against our faith, we are called not to retreat, compromise, or seek approval, but to remain faithful because Jesus is enough. Peacemakers | Enough: A Series on the Beatitudes - Audio

“God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” Biblical peace is more than avoiding conflict or keeping things comfortable. Jesus calls His followers to actively work for peace because God has already made peace possible through Christ. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus reconciles us to God and gives us the calling to carry that peace into our relationships, families, communities, and the world. Ultimately, working for peace is part of what identifies us as God’s children. Because Jesus is enough, we can pursue reconciliation, extend grace, and faithfully work for peace even when it comes at a cost. Summer Recap 2026 | Celebrating What God Has Done - Audio

This week, we step away from our normal sermon series for a special Summer Recap Sunday, celebrating the ways God has been at work through Temple Baptist Church throughout the summer. Pastor Doug invites members of the church to the stage to share stories and testimonies from this summer’s events, including Kids Camp, VBS, and other ministry experiences. From children demonstrating compassion in the middle of chaos, to generations of families serving and growing together, these stories point to God’s faithfulness at work in ordinary moments. But the heart of the morning is bigger than any individual event or testimony. It is an invitation to stop, celebrate, and give thanks for what God has done, what He is doing, and what He will continue to do. “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1 As we look back on this summer, we are reminded that these aren't simply stories about events. They are stories of God at work in the lives of His people. Pure | Enough: A Series on the Beatitudes - Audio

The promise of Jesus is remarkable: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Continuing our Enough series through the Beatitudes, this message explores what Jesus means by having a pure heart and why purity matters so deeply to our relationship with God. Biblical purity isn't simply about outward behavior or appearing to have it all together. It reaches into the heart—the center of our thoughts, desires, emotions, and will. The reality is that none of us have a naturally pure heart. Scripture is honest about the depth of our sin and our inability to make ourselves righteous. But that is where the good news of the gospel meets us. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we are declared righteous by grace, not by our own efforts. Jesus' sacrifice makes forgiveness possible, and the Holy Spirit continues the work of making us more like Christ. This message is ultimately one of hope. God doesn't simply expose the condition of our hearts—He offers to transform them. Through Jesus, we can know God now and look forward to the day when we will see Him face to face. Mercy | Enough: A Series on the Beatitudes | Gary Chevalier - Audio

What does it really mean to be merciful? Continuing our series through the Beatitudes, guest speaker Gary Chevalier explores Jesus' words in Matthew 5:7: "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." In a culture that often mistakes mercy for weakness, this message reveals the biblical picture of mercy as a powerful expression of God's grace, forgiveness, and compassion. Through Scripture, we see that mercy isn't something we naturally produce on our own. It begins with recognizing our own need for God's forgiveness. As we receive His mercy through Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit transforms our hearts, enabling us to forgive others, extend compassion, and reflect the character of Christ in our daily lives. If you'd like to learn more about Temple Baptist Church or join us for an upcoming service, we'd love to connect with you.
