Ghosts & the Paranormal: What Does the Bible REALLY Say? | Let’s Talk About It Podcast

👻 Are ghosts real? What about hauntings, spirits, demons, and paranormal experiences? In this unscripted episode of Let’s Talk About It, we dive into the mysterious world of ghosts and the paranormal from a Christian perspective. People have reported strange encounters for thousands of years—voices with no apparent source, shadowy figures, unexplained movements, haunted locations, and experiences that seem impossible to explain. But just because something appears supernatural doesn't necessarily tell us what it is. We discuss what the Bible says about death and the spiritual world, including angels and demons, communicating with the dead, mediums and spiritists, and some of Scripture's strangest supernatural accounts. We also tackle the big questions: Do the dead remain among us? Could some “ghost” encounters have ordinary explanations? Could others involve spiritual deception? And how should Christians respond when confronted with something they can't explain? Rather than allowing fear or fascination to guide us, we're going back to Scripture and asking what Christians can actually know—and where we need to admit that we simply don't know.👻 Have you ever experienced something you couldn't explain? Tell us your story in the comments. Welcome to Let’s Talk About It — a CKDMJ Podcast.#LetsTalkAboutIt #Ghosts #Paranormal #ChristianPodcast #Bible #Christianity #Supernatural #GhostStories #SpiritualWarfare #Demons #Faith #CKDMJ

Does Separation of Church and State mean what you think it does?

SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE — WHAT DID THE FOUNDERS ACTUALLY MEAN?“Separation of church and state” is one of the most repeated phrases in American political and religious discussions—but where did it actually come from?In this episode of Let’s Talk About It, we go back to the beginning and examine the First Amendment, the Founding Fathers, and the historical origins of the idea commonly called the “separation of church and state.”What does the First Amendment actually say?Did the Founding Fathers intend to remove religion from government and public life—or were they primarily protecting Americans from the government establishing a national religion while also protecting the free exercise of religion? We’ll look at the wording Congress actually adopted in 1789, the ratification of the Bill of Rights in 1791, and the historical circumstances that shaped the Religion Clauses. We’ll also examine Thomas Jefferson’s famous 1802 letter to the Danbury Baptist Association, where he used the phrase “a wall of separation between Church & State.” Interestingly, those exact words do not appear in the First Amendment. Jefferson was explaining how he understood the constitutional protection of religious liberty. So what did “separation of church and state” originally mean? And how did that phrase develop into the way Americans understand it today? This episode looks at the history, the actual constitutional language, and the debate surrounding one of the most misunderstood phrases in American history.Let’s Talk About It.📖 First Amendment:“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”🇺🇸 Was America founded to separate government from religion—or to protect religious freedom? You decide. If you enjoy history, Christianity, politics, and conversations about the ideas that shaped America, make sure to subscribe to CKDMJ and join the conversation.A particularly interesting point for the episode is that Jefferson did not write the First Amendment—the phrase “wall of separation” appeared in his 1802 letter more than a decade after the amendment was ratified.#LetsTalkAboutIt #FirstAmendment #SeparationOfChurchAndState #ReligiousFreedom #AmericanHistory #Constitution #BillOfRights #ThomasJefferson #FoundingFathers #Christianity #History #CKDMJ
