Episode 311 - Receipt: Paid in Full

Got a question? Let us know! Made for MondaysEpisode No. 311 | September 28, 2026 INTRO | GUESTS Host: Joe Guests: Jamey, Christina, Megs Anderson WEEKEND CHITCHAT Quick catch-up: “What did y’all get into this weekend?” BIBLE READING CHALLENGE “What stood out to you from this week’s reading?” SUNDAY DISH In the final week of Receipt, Pastor Jamey connects God’s gift of grace with how we handle everything He’s entrusted to us. Jesus has paid our sin debt in full, so our generosity becomes a grateful response to what He’s already done. When Jesus is #1, our priorities change: receive with gratitude, return in worship, cultivate with wisdom, and enjoy with freedom. Q1: A Little Joy What small purchase reliably makes an ordinary day better for you? Q2: The Receipt Tells the Story Jamey, you talked about the gap between seeing yourself as frugal and what your spending summary actually showed. When have your receipts surprised you about what really matters to you? Q3: Why the First Tenth You mentioned tithing before the Law of Moses and Jesus’ teaching about it. Can you walk us through those passages and how they shape our church’s approach to giving today? Q4: A Heart That Follows You said, “The tithe isn’t primarily about funding the church. It’s about forming the worshiper.” What have you noticed changing in you and Bonnie as you’ve grown in generosity? Follow-up: What might someone miss if they wait to feel generous before they begin? Q5: Trust When It Feels Tight The Big Idea asks, “If Jesus is #1 in my life, how should I handle what He’s given me?” For someone already stretched thin, what is a faithful first step, and how can our church help? Follow-up: How does remembering that Jesus has already paid our debt keep giving from becoming an attempt to earn God’s approval? Q6: A Different Kind of Freedom What could we decide before our next paycheck to help us save wisely and enjoy God’s gifts without comparing our lives to anyone else’s? Follow-up: What would growth look like if our income stayed exactly the same? JOIN US SUNDAY! “We are all very excited about this coming Sunday! Awesome!! Episode 310 - Receipt: Return Policy

Got a question? Let us know! Made for MondaysEpisode No. 310 | September 21, 2026 INTRO | GUESTS Host: Joe Guests: Jamey, Chelle, Scott WEEKEND CHITCHAT Quick catch-up: “What did y’all get into this weekend?” BIBLE READING CHALLENGE “What stood out to you from this week’s reading?” SUNDAY DISH Week three of Receipt, Pastor Jamey’s message “Return Policy” takes us back to the Garden to rethink how we handle everything God has placed in our hands. Our possessions can’t carry the weight of our identity or security. Instead, we’re called to receive God’s gifts with gratitude, enjoy them, cultivate what He’s entrusted to us, and share them with others. Q1: The Box in the Trunk When a purchase needs to go back, do you return it right away or let it ride around in your trunk for a month? Q2: When More Becomes a Burden Jamey, you talked about possessions promising peace but sometimes creating anxiety. When has something you thought would make life easier actually added pressure? Q3: Before There Was Money Why start a message about money in Genesis 1, before money even existed? Follow-up: What does that teach us about the difference between owning something and being entrusted with it? Q4: Enjoy the Gift You said, “God’s gifts are meant to be enjoyed.” Where’s the line between enjoying what God has given us and depending on it for security? Q5: The Bread in Our Hands The Big Idea asks, “What does God want me to do with everything He has placed in my hands?” When someone beside us has far less, what makes that question difficult to act on? Follow-up: What could we do together as a church that would be harder to do alone? Q6: More to Offer Than We Think For someone who feels like they have little to offer, where would you start in helping them recognize a gift God has already placed in their hands? Follow-up: What’s one small way they could cultivate and share it this week? JOIN US SUNDAY! “We are all very excited about this coming Sunday! Awesome!!
