    S6.E5. Carrying on Daniel's Legacy with All Her Heart

    Meet my friend Kara.She’s an amazing woman of God who has been through an event recently that changed her life - the loss of her husband. At just 32 her husband, Daniel passed away from cancer, the day before his 33rd birthday. His passing took place about 4 months previous to the recording of this podcast. I met her through my husband who is an RV Transporter. I learned who she was because her husband had a You Tube channel called the “High Mileage Helper” https://www.youtube.com/c/HighMileageHelper. He also had a dumpster business and a You Tube channel for that called, “Daniel the Dumpster Helper.” https://www.youtube.com/@danielthedumpsterhelper I learned who he was because when my husband was getting to know the business and how to get into it, he’d watch Daniel's videos. Every Sunday night, Daniel would have these hangouts on his You Tube page that my husband would never miss. Well, when we found out he got sick, we were praying and my husband was devastated. It amazed me that he’d never met this man but the impact he made just on his heart was powerful. A group of the transporters decided to do a fundraiser for Daniel before he passed to raise money for Kara who she was caring for him and out of work. He comes home to tell me how well it went and even more amazing, how no one at that event had ever actually met Daniel in person. Shortly after that, Daniel sadly passed away. I’d never met Kara. My husband had just seen her pop up on Daniel’s You Tube videos and I knew who she was. But after he passed, I felt the Lord prompt me to reach out to her. Having led Griefshare a few times and understanding grief, I just friended her on Facebook, and said something how we’re supposed to talk. From that moment, we became friends. God has absolutely placed us in each others life for a reason and this season and we are so grateful. This friendship with Kara isn’t just between me and her. It’s her and my husband and my daughter. She’s part of our family. But what’s amazing about her, is that when this event happened, she knew she needed to carry on his legacy. She started a non-profit called, “Heart of a Helper,” and she’s done a few videos on both of his You Tube channels talking about his work and her life after he passed. He impacted many people’s lives through his personal testimony, and his faith and you can see if you go to those channels and watch those videos, how big of an impact she is continuing to carry in honor of his life. To God be the glory. +++++++ This interview was recorded at an event for Op1 Vets in Goshen, Indiana on June 6, 2026. She came to visit us the weekend before that event fr the first time and then after that on August 23rd. What she didn’t know was that it was the 15th anniversary of my Dad’s passing. So it was a comfort to have her here, someone who understood grief. It was also an honor to be a comfort to her. What you see at the end of this video are the pictures from our walk out to the lighthouse in St. Joe to catch the sunset. The peace of God was undeniable in us and around us.     S6.E4. Betrayed by Porn. How God Can Heal Your Heart

    If you are looking for a podcast interview that approaches porn recovery in marriage with the Spirit of God, then this one is for you. I want you to meet my friend Becca McClearen. She is an amazing woman of God, and certainly a warrior you need to know. This episode is especially for those of you who come across this that are married or in a relationship with a man who is struggling with porn. You want to keep your marriage or relationship but you want things to change. Becca will give you the real story about the hard work it takes to bring your marriage that is struggling with this to Christ. I have known Becca for a while through our church. I’ve seen her lead well, so I invited her to my first Guiding God’s Daughters mentor training back in 2024. What I love about her is her willingness to grow with God through the hard things, to do the hard work that comes with healing and to help others who’ve struggled in the same way she has. This is an important interview covering the topic of porn because it’s about healing and growth. Her and her husband Gerry are part of a ministry called Betrayal and Beyond, which is part of Pure Desire Ministries. When she was in one of my first Bible studies years ago, she was “in it” so she wasn’t sharing about it. But God has been working in her and through her since her and her husband, Gerry started on this journey. Listen how she talks about how God helped her acknowledge what was really happening and address it with her husband. She’ll tell you her about how her feelings of anger but also how she still saw his heart, even in the middle of his behavior. That’s God! She’ll tell you about how the healing process has grown her marriage and her relationship with God. I bet there are a lot of you who have this going on in your marriage think it’s your husband’s problem, but listen as Becca talks about what it helped her see as the wife. Maybe you blame yourself. She addresses that too! We even addressed the trust issue that something like this causes.I think she’s a beautiful testament to finding God in the middle of the hardest seasons of your life.     S6.E2. Becoming the Mom They Need

    Let’s talk this week about mom life, from a spiritual perspective. Our kids are back at school, so let’s take the time to get real about how we are showing up for them. The world tells us it’s all about getting them into the right schools, sports and friend groups. But I believe that God wants us to take it deeper, to helping them see who God says they are, and guess what? That’s not just us telling them who God says they are. It’s us LIVING, knowing, who God says WE are, and owning our stories, healing our hurts and showing them how to do that.  I believe parenting is so much more about guiding their hearts than their behaviors specifically. Yes, a big part is about protecting their hearts (especially in this day and age). But it’s also about looking at what’s coming out of our hearts.     S6. E2. How to Break the Devil's Hold on College Students

    So, you are a college student or you a parent of a college student, or you are someone who loves the Lord and wants to help break the cycle. However you are coming to this, I want this podcast to inform you practically. If you are that college student, I don't know when you are finding this. Maybe you are just getting back on campus or you are finding it in the middle of your school year. Whenever you find it, I pray it helps you. Here’s what I want to talk to you about…Before I start, I want you to know the reason I did this podcast is because I struggled with drinking in college and had nowhere to turn. I didn’t get into the hookup culture until I got into my twenties, but I was in it, and I know the shame that attaches to it. So, here’s what I know. If you can’t control your drinking, or you are feeling ashamed for where it’s made you end up, or maybe you feel gross because of all the guys you’ve slept with - I want you to hear this: I did this FOR you. I did this so you could find there is a different way. I know that #hookupculture in college is real. I know that everyone sleeps around. I know everyone binge drinks. Again, I’ve been there, and I know it's even worse now. So in this podcast, I want to briefly tell you my experience at the University of Notre Dame with it. But I also want to give you some stuff to help you.I want you to know what nobody will tell you, things like:- Why what you are coming to campus with - emotionally, mentally, even what's going on at home affects what you turn to to cope.- I want you to know some things that I believe will help you understand if it could be a problem for you better than the pamphlets they hand out at college. The information I’m giving you here is not what you will get on your first day of school or from your counseling office. This is from someone who has lived it, and found a way out. Jesus was the way for me. He pulled me out of the pit. But he set me on a path that included treatment and lots of changes in life. I want my experience to help you, and the witness of what God has done in my life to help you. If you are a girl who knows Jesus or you are getting to know Jesus, I hope this makes you feel a little less alone, and a little more able to maybe be the light and help a girl who is struggling or just simply stand on your faith. Maybe you are someone who has even graduated and you want to speak life into these students. Comment! Help them out!Parents, this is for you too. I’m hoping it will help you maybe get to know your kids too and what they are facing at school.

    S6. E1. Step Up Woman of God: New Book Out NOW

    Are you a woman of faith who credits God with making you an overcomer? Have you been through things you know you never could have gotten through without God? I believe there is a warrior inside of you and God wants to use you for such a time as this. Those stories that many people don't even know about you, are the ones another woman needs to hear to get the victory. Those stories have to be told and shared.     GRWM. S5. E4. Going No Contact the Healthy Way

    There are so many people weighing in on this topic right now and I have some experience with it personally as it pertains to healing that unhealthy relationship with God's direction . But I also share how I did go through therapy to help me work through it. The point is to work through it on your end. Let God work in you heart.I have truly lived through the detaching (I like that word better) from a loved one to loving that person in a completely different way. Watch this video as I share a little but about what happened.Also know. I am currently on the other side of it, having someone who has gone no contact with us and it's difficult. So I hope that this video can give you some perspective from either side.Most important, I pray that it gets you focused on the Lord and on healing because that's how everyone wins.

    GRWM. S5. E4. Facing Your Fear of Marriage and Embracing Singleness in a World of Modern Feminism

    Ladies, so many of you have a hardened and wounded heart around marriage and being single and it needs to be healed in Jesus name. This episode is for you if you’ve had parents who got divorced or you come from a dysfunctional family you've had to overcome. Maybe it’s made you fearful of marriage or made you think you never will get married. I believe the Lord wants to give you another perspective on this. He wants to soften your heart and heal it so you CAN believe in marriage for yourself no matter what marriage has looked like to you in the past.The other person this is for is the woman who is questioning her belief in modern feminism. You thought it was supposed to make you feel empowered and it is not. It has given you a bad view of men, and women and damaged your idea of what it is to be a woman. The Lord never intended you to feel oppressed as a woman. You are a strong woman of God and you need to stop letting the world define you. This episode is also for those of you who struggle with the whole identity of being single. First of all let me tell you, I get it. I didn’t date until I got into my twenties, then I did it wrong then finally in my early thirties after getting sober, God put that guy in front of me who wasn’t perfect, but was right for me. I know the Lord wanted me to seek HIM first and be on the road to healing before I met Him. But, let me tell you, I struggled with that singleness for so long. I let it be my identity instead of learning my main identity was in Christ. If there is anything I can tell you, let your identity be in Christ.

    GRWM. S5. E3. Overcoming Sexual Sin and Brokenness

    Have you ever struggled with guilt and shame around things you've done when it comes to sexual sin? Have you ever even realized something like that could have a negative impact on your self-esteem and more importantly, your spiritual life?We live in a world that is so focused on sex being for pleasure and the message of "Do whatever you want with your body" or "Do whatever feels good," that many of us don't realize just because it "feels" good or it's "popular" doesn't mean it's good for our souls.1 Corinthians 6:12 says,You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything. What so many think is "sexual freedom" is actually slavery to the thing you think is just about pleasuring yourself. Now, if you think I'm saying here that sex is bad, you've got it all wrong. Sex is a beautiful gift of God made for a married man and woman. I knew that as a kid, but I didn't know know it because I wasn't in the Word. In this podcast, you will hear me share about:- The landscape of what the world is showing us about sexual sin,- My story of overcoming it,- A study of 1 Corinthians 6 on the topic and then some direction for those of you who may be struggling with it.I didn't want to record this message. But the Spirit of the Lord kept leading me to it. I believe too many of you haven't been set free from it and it's time to be.
