    Permission to share your story - 25 years later - Ep. 16 Today, I gave myself permission to talk about the things that have been weighing heavily on my heart as of late, and to share my own story. My story of growing up in Ukraine, my journey to the United States as an immigrant, the obstacles and triumphs that have been 25 years in the making and have brought me to this point in my life. My story continues to be told and I feel it's my responsibility to bring to light and share a little bit of my personal experience, given the painful global events continuing to unfold. My hope is that peace, love, and kindness will ultimately prevail against darkness and hate, and that we will leave this world a better and more compassionate place for our children.     Permission to take small steps towards your goal - Ep. 15 with Dana Cooper This week, I was catching up with Dana Cooper, who traveled to Scotland with our women-only group! We talked about all the small ways you can give yourself permission to invest time in yourself. It all starts with baby steps towards that big goal (whatever it is) and snowballs into something great. Dedicating an hour or two a week to do things that matter to you is, in fact, signing your own permission slip – even if it is still a work in progress. We talked about Dana making travel a priority for herself, to explore Scottish history and the amazing locations in Outlander books, and the small first steps it took to make it a reality. By taking a leap of faith to travel with a small group of other women she didn’t know, Dana followed her heart to Scotland and this amazing experience pushed her to see more of the world she wanted to explore. Now, she’s set a goal to travel once a year and to have one amazing big trip to look forward to. Her advice to other women? Just do it – pick an idea, find something that interests you (a book you read, food you love) or whatever it is that speaks to you. Plan something and just do it.
