This podcast is flat out amazing! I don’t have words. I had no idea how much went on in the Japanese market. It’s a whole new world! The dialogue is rich and insightful. Honest and respectful. I genuinely love this podcast and can’t wait for more!!!!

Hello, I’m a relatively late comer to your podcast. Found it by chance while searching J.R.R. Tolkien and the Inklings. Very enjoyable podcast, Jacob and CY have a great rapport that fits the Inklings title to the Podcast. I found it very informative, engaging and entertaining. Must say, after listening I tried out a Pilot Customer Heritage 92. Was not disappointed. It’s sits very well alongside my Sailor 1911 Realo. In fact, I’ve enjoyed the podcast so much that I’ve now gone back and started listening to the older episodes. Last thing I’ll say, I really enjoy and appreciate it the market/financial insights woven into the conversation. Especially when Jacob starts breaking down reports, or CY weaves in press releases, it provides a unique perspective. Valuable and refreshing. Plus, the two of them are super fun to listen to.

I really enjoy the hosts banter, intuitive discussions, and knowledgeable insights. It’s really cool that a podcast can still paint a clear picture of the writing instruments discussed.

I only recently found this podcast, but am quite enjoying catching up on the backlist with Fudefan and CY as they discuss the world of Fountain Pen enthusiasts in Japan. They are relaxed in delivery, but are very well informed on happenings in the business — from retail to manufacturing. They also share their own passions, whether it is inks or nibs or grinds. I also appreciate that they consider ethical aspects of the hobby. They also seem to have fun — networking and reporting on pen shows. Highly recommend this fresh podcast.
