I recently found this podcast and I am truly happy I have. The analysis of each episode and character breakdown is top notch. The perspective I have for people living in these situations in real life has changed based on their insight. I am thankful for the education you are giving me on both the show and real life.

Dr. Dres shreds

Trying to finish the Wire for the first time after several aborted attempts. I was looking for an insightful and entertaining post-show analysis pod, like Bald Move does, but they haven’t yet done a Wire companion. Though Van’s analysis is always perceptive, there’s a lot of spoilers of subsequent seasons and plot points, which I found frustrating. Jemelle Hill only states obvious things, and she’s clearly out of her element here. There are also a lot of digressions that some might enjoy but I found a bit annoying. There are much better podcasts of this ilk, but I can’t seem to find any about the Wire that are this comprehensive.
Okay until Van gets going
