Our new instalment of the Microfunk Extended Podcast is carefully compiled and mixed by Foans. Foans, a Colorado-based electronic music producer, is known for blending genres like lo-fi, ambient, house, techno, IDM, and glitch. Distinguishing himself in the electronic music scene, he opts for hardware instruments and sequencers over modern digital workstations, adding a unique, organic quality to his sound. Bop, the head of Microfunk, shares his admiration for Foans’ music: ‘I instantly fell in love with his music when the ‘almighty algorithm’ introduced me to his self-titled album and was blown away even more when he uploaded his 100-track release 'Classics' to Bandcamp. I think I spent the entire month listening to the album on shuffle, over and over again, and absolutely loved it. For me, Foans' music hits the perfect balance between transcendental depth and repetitive grooviness.
