Then we move into the baseball portion of the show where we talk about the differences between professional and college baseball.     This week, we discuss the importance of practice and how to maximize practice time! We really enjoy this conversation to allow coaches to make the best of the time that they have and hopefully come up with more efficient ways to accomplish what we're looking to accomplish during our seasons.   Big shout out to Chris Gruarin, Head Baseball Coach, Williamsville East High School, for allowing us to view one of his practice plans from 2021. In 2021, WEHS won their Section Title and their catcher, Joe Mack, was selected 31st Overall in the 2021 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins.

    Section 6 Coaches Education Call

    Hot Corner Athletics has partnered with WNY Section 6 Baseball Coaches to bring education to the coaching staffs in our area to provide resources so that we can all grow the game in our amazing area!   These calls are sponsored by Dugout Coalition and Hot Corner Futures Foundation.   Dugout Coalition is an online Coaching Development Platform that provides Organizational Structure to Travel Programs, High School Programs, House Leagues, Little League, Babe Ruth and all other programs that have teams. Our goal is to make sure that the organizations are working toward the same goals and that all of the coaches are working toward one common theme: DEVELOPMENT!   Hot Corner Futures Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that's mission is to provide coaches and players of underserved and underprivileged areas the opportunity for growth, development and freedom from the costs associated with playing this game. We want to provide coaches the ability to teach athletes and want our athletes to be able to freely play this game without worrying about equipment and league fees.
