    I have heard over the years about a whole underworld that exists beneath our feet.  Used by nefarious entities at the detriment of humans.  It would seem that there have been two worlds existing simultaneously, one underground that exists in the dark and one on the surface that exists in the light and that intermingle. These areas are entered through DUMBS or Deep Underground Military Bases.
