In this episode, the founders of Shieldless Mag and hosts of Quarantine Call reflect on one year of doing the magazine as well as the first season of the podcast. We go over some of the highlights from running our website and doing interviews and videos over the last year. We then get into some of our favorite episodes of the podcast and talk about some of the guests we've had on. We also talk about recently losing our friend Ryan Bowers to suicide and creating his tribute video we posted to our IGTV. It's always been our goal to create awareness around mental health and suicide prevention and we encourage anyone struggling to reach out to us or professionals for help.     Episode 23 is finally here, after a short hiatus Quarantine Call With Shieldless Mag is back with a very special episode featuring Tyrone Olson! Tyrone is a legendary professional skateboarder from Madison, Wisconsin who moved to San Diego in the early 90s to pursue a career skating. He also helped organize one of the largest rolling protests in the country last weekend called Rolling For Rights SD. We reflect on the success of the protest, as well as hear about some of Tyrone’s personal thoughts and experiences with racism. We also talk about growing up in Wisconsin, being in the legendary video The Storm, and starting his own company Scarred Skateboards. Shuriken also shares some memories of the late P-stone and Jake Phelps from his time with them on Thrasher's 2007 King Of The Road, including when Phelps threw an apple at his head after landing a trick he was battling for!
