Duel of the Fates

Thank you for bringing this excellent script, and extraordinary conclusion to the Skywalker saga, to life. This is easily one of my favorite Star Wars "movies."

While we still received the better episode nine, this is amazing. I love the production. My only problem with the story (which is on Colin Treverrow, not this podcast) Is Reypoe and some of the knights of Ren stuff.

So, a group of people came up with a scripted Star Wars radio drama based on the outlines of what Colin Trevarow reportedly had planned for Episode 9. I have to say it was pretty interesting and well-done for not being able to use professional voice actors (Hux's voice is near perfect) and Star Wars music (though a few classic sound effects are there). There were actually quite a lot of elements in it that did show up in The Rise of Skywalker, although in different ways (assuming they weren't creatively borrowed from The Rise of Skywalker?). Mortis was a big part of the Rey/Kylo/Force story in this story and we get Coruscant in a prominent role in the battle between the Resistance and First Order, but there didn't seem to be any direct callbacks to the Mortis Trilogy in TCW. I'm still happy with what we ended up with in The Rise of Skywalker but CT apparently had some good ideas as well. There was a "Bendemption" of sorts but not as good as what we get in The Rise of Skywalker IMHO. If you want an "alternate version" of Episode 9, this is a very enjoyable listen. It was originally recorded in 9 parts but the creators also provided a full recording. A+ for effort and creativity!

This is a great project, and it plays like a classic radio drama while also bringing to life an important piece of modern Star Wars history!
