    “Paul’s Defense Before Agrippa, Part II” – A Sermon on Acts 26:1–32

    📝 Sermon Description In Acts 26:1–32, the Apostle Paul stands before King Agrippa and recounts how the risen Lord Jesus transformed him from a persecutor of the church into a witness to the gospel. His hope rests in God’s promise of resurrection, fulfilled in the suffering and risen Christ. Sent to proclaim forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Jesus, Paul calls his hearers to repent, turn to God, and bear fruit in keeping with repentance. Though Festus dismisses his testimony and Agrippa remains unpersuaded, Paul speaks with courage and humility, longing for all who hear him to share his faith in Christ. This passage reminds us that salvation is the work of God’s grace and that the risen Savior brings sinners from darkness to light.     “Paul’s Defense Before Agrippa, Part I” – A Sermon on Acts 25:13–27

    📝 Sermon Description In Acts 25:13–27, the Apostle Paul’s case is brought before King Agrippa as Governor Festus struggles to explain the accusations against him. Though Paul has committed no crime deserving punishment, he remains in custody because of his unwavering testimony concerning Jesus Christ and His resurrection. As Festus recounts the controversy surrounding Paul, the central issue becomes clear: Jesus was dead, but Paul boldly declares that He is alive. Even amid political uncertainty and unjust treatment, God is sovereignly directing Paul’s circumstances to bring the truth of the gospel before rulers and authorities. This passage reminds us that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is at the heart of our faith, that God’s purposes cannot be hindered by human opposition, and that He uses even difficult circumstances to advance His kingdom.     “Paul’s Defense Before Felix” – A Sermon on Acts 24:1–27

    In Acts 24:1–27, Paul stands before the Roman governor Felix to answer the false accusations brought against him. Rather than compromising his faith or seeking to escape his circumstances, Paul boldly defends his innocence and faithfully proclaims his hope in the resurrection of the dead. As Paul speaks about righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment, Felix becomes alarmed but chooses to delay responding to the truth. This passage reminds us that the gospel demands a response, that our hope rests in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that God calls His people to remain faithful even when justice is delayed.     Paul Arrives in Caesarea | Acts 23:12–35 | Pastor Phil Nicewonger

    In Acts 23:12–35, Paul faces a deadly conspiracy as more than forty men plot to take his life. Yet even in the midst of danger and uncertainty, God is sovereignly working to preserve His servant and accomplish His purposes. Through the courageous actions of Paul's nephew and the unexpected protection of Roman authorities, Paul is safely escorted to Caesarea, where he awaits his hearing before Governor Felix. This passage reminds us that God's plans cannot be thwarted by human opposition, that His providence is often displayed through ordinary people and circumstances, and that His promises remain certain even when the path ahead is unclear.     “Paul Before the Sanhedrin” – A Sermon on Acts 22:30–23:11

    📝 Sermon Description In Acts 22:30–23:11, Paul is brought before the Sanhedrin as the Roman commander seeks to understand the accusations against him. Paul’s declaration of his hope in the resurrection exposes the deep division between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the council quickly descends into conflict. As opposition intensifies and Paul’s future appears uncertain, the Lord stands near him and says, “Take courage.” This passage reminds us that the risen Christ is present with His people in the midst of opposition, that our hope is rooted in the resurrection, and that God’s purposes are not frustrated by difficult circumstances.     “Paul’s First Defense” – A Sermon on Acts 21:37–22:29

    📝 Sermon Description In Acts 21:37–22:29, Paul stands before an angry crowd in Jerusalem and gives a defense not merely of himself, but of the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. He recounts his former zeal, his encounter with the risen Lord, and Christ’s call to carry the gospel to the Gentiles.     “Paul Arrives in Jerusalem” – A Sermon on Acts 21:1–17

    📝 Sermon Description In Acts 21:1–17, Paul continues his journey toward Jerusalem, knowing that hardship and suffering await him there. Along the way, he is surrounded by believers who love him deeply and are concerned for his safety, yet Paul remains resolved to follow the path the Lord has set before him. As warnings increase and the cost of obedience becomes clearer, Paul demonstrates a steadfast trust in Christ that is not controlled by comfort, fear, or self-preservation. The believers eventually respond with the words, “The Lord’s will be done.” This passage reminds us that faithful obedience does not always lead down an easy road, but we can trust the wisdom, goodness, and sovereignty of God even when the path ahead is difficult.
