It’s round 5 of the Australia Cup and as only cups can there’s some unique matchups. Lindsay Aldrick, Armadale Soccer Club Female Football Coordinator. Lindsay navigates us around the clubs Fundamentals and Shop and Drop programmes, how the club is tracking the last few years and the effect of a World Cup and Asian Cup on their club and the wider community ecosystem. Robbie Thomson, Paramount and Channel 10 football Commentator. A-League finals are underway. Newcastle are crowned league premiers after a solid and impressively consistent season. But as Australian football does, it makes sure the Premiers are really the Premiers with an extra few matches to test their mettle and give the fans a show case of the best of the best. The league has been tight, and 10 points separate the top 6 teams. Perth Glory finish 10th, around about the usual for the last three seasons. Is that good enough to secure a few jobs? Josh Risdon retires and Canberra United bow out of the Women’s finals. We wait and see if they are back in season 2027. Michael Kerr, Football Futures Foundation Chief Executive Officer. There’re some exciting programmes happening all over Western Australia including former Matilda Lydia Williams returning to WA and the Girls Football Festival breaking all records.
