BUT hopefully worth setting your alarm ;) A fearless deep dive into mystical Kabbalah, visionary practice, contemplation, magic, consciousness, and the radical transformation demanded by the genuine spiritual path. David’s work does not decorate the surface of mysticism. It tears open the architecture beneath it. David Chaim Smith is a practitioner of contemplative mysticism who documents his exploratory work in a rare visual form called Esoteric Cartography. This style of graphic notation arose in 2006 as an amalgamation of Hermetic Qabbalah, Hebrew Kabbalah, Spiritual Alchemy, and wisdom from a variety of non-dual sources. On the surface, the work lives exclusively within the symbolic language of the Western Esoteric Tradition, but below the surface it serves some rarely investigated elements. One of the main influences is a radical interpretation of the devotional Kabbalah of Chassidut, which quite naturally blends with Hermetic Qabbalah because both traditions share the same root axioms.  This is quite an unusual synergy because the dominant view that characterizes the work is decidedly non-theistic.
