    I had a baby nine weeks ago and decided I’d like to share a bite size update each week of what postpartum has been like for me. This is real and raw, no editing, no scripts, just me waffling on. Today I share about my Velcro baby who wants to be attached to me 24/7, how babywearing has really helped, and the frustration I feel at not being able to work, create and contribute to the postpartum world in the way I’m used to. I think it’s FOMO but I’m gently reminding myself that I have enough going on right now!     I had a baby 8 weeks ago and decided I’d like to share a bite size update each week of what postpartum has been like for me. This is real and raw, no editing, no scripts, just me waffling on. Today I’ve combined 3 weeks together as let’s be honest, they all blur together at some point! I’ve decided I hate the word Colic because it’s so broad and finding answers to it is so difficult! We are still experiencing a pretty disgruntled, gassy babe. I also share about hubby being back at work (waahhhhh!) and my six week check up. I hope you enjoy.     Ep 28: Fighting to breastfeed, with Steph and Clay

    Breastfeeding never came easy for me. I feel like I was constantly fighting an uphill battle, wading through misinformation from midwives, stress, and overwhelm. On today’s episode of the podcast I’m joined by my lovely husband Clay, as we remember back to three years ago when our breastfeeding journey began. It’s not all sunshine and roses I’m sorry to say. Some of the issues we faced includes our son losing more than 10% of his body weight, nipple damage, quick feeds that didn’t meet the expectations of the hospital, and pressure to introduce formula top ups. But we did get through it and now we are about to hit three years of breastfeeding.
