Welcome to Turner Syndrome Awareness Month 2026

Like & Subscribe! Welcome back to Coffee & Turner Syndrome. We are Brooke and Andrea, and every week we will pour ourselves our favorite cup of coffee, and chat all things Turner Syndrome. This is a solo episode with me, Brooke. This episode marks the beginning of Turner Syndrome Awareness Month 2026. While we are planning some fun awareness month episodes, I did not want to miss the first day of the month. Awareness Month can mean a lot of different things to different people. For some, it’s educational. For others, it’s emotional. And for many, it brings up feelings that are complicated, layered, or hard to name. In this episode, I’m sharing what Turner Syndrome Awareness Month means to me — not just as a podcast host, but as someone who grew up with Turner syndrome and not many others around me that share my experiences. We talk about what awareness is and what it isn’t, how we can approach this month with joy and confidence instead of pressure, and why stories and lived experience matter just as much as information. This epsiode is an invitation — to parents who are new to this journey, to women and girls living with Turner syndrome, to enjoy the month and feel confident in the strength you've already showed. ☕ Join the conversation:What does Awareness Month mean for you?How do you like to celebrate awareness month? Why Sharing Still Matters: Reflections on a Mom’s Instagram Post | Coffee and Turner Syndrome Podcast

Welcome back to Coffee & Turner Syndrome. We are Brooke and Andrea, and every week we will pour ourselves our favorite cup of coffee, and chat all things Turner Syndrome. This is a solo episode with me, Brooke. In this episode, I’m responding to a moment that caught my attention on Instagram — a mom openly sharing her daughter’s Turner syndrome diagnosis, and the backlash she received for doing so. The mom's instagram: https://www.instagram.com/keri.rooney/ The video: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTBFxi8D_uM/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Watching her video stirred up a lot for me. Because truthfully? I would have loved to see someone talking about Turner syndrome when I was growing up. I would have loved to know I wasn’t the only one. I would have loved language, faces, and stories that made this diagnosis feel less isolating and less scary. So in this episode, I share my perspective — as a fellow butterfly, as someone who grew up with Turner syndrome, navigating it quietly, often without anyone else with Turner Syndrome around, or anywhere to be seen. ☕ Join the conversation:Would it have mattered to you to see people talk openly about Turner syndrome? What do you wish had been said — or not said — when you were younger?
