The Legendary Tales

If these guys were in D&D Adam would be a half orc warlock or maybe like a bearkin and Dora would be probably a human wizard if you put a gun to her head, but maybe just an NPC shop owner who stands up for tieflings at parties. In one episode Adam says mushrooms when he means marshmallows and Dora accidentally calls Protestants prostitutes. It’s good.

As someone who frequently finds herself down Wikipedia holes, this is such an interesting and satisfying podcast! There’s a great variety of folklore, urban legends, and real-life historical events, ranging from downright creepy to fascinating to educational. Adam and Isadora’s banter is very fun and makes it an enjoyable listen.

I couldn’t review on Overcast but you have sufficiently guilted me into opening Apple podcasts again. The Legendary Tales is a fun layperson’s take on the myriad myths and legends of human culture. It’s an easy-going, light-hearted podcast that just seems like two friends who are eager to share the stories they’ve learned about over the week. I’d love to hear a story on the Hydra, or one on yetis/abominable snowmen!

Not super sure how I discovered them, but I’m so glad I did. Also check out history through a house by them.
