The episode with Mark and Debbie is not a feel-good story about how a man succumbed to temptation and found redemption through Christ. It is a mischaracterization of the story of a pastor repeatedly choosing to watch children being sexually assaulted so he could become aroused. After his release from prison, he broke the terms of his parole by having contact with children and continued to trigger and re-traumatize his victims, whom he privately admitted to abusing sexually in the past. He was never charged for this and has certainly never atoned for it. He and his wife still blatantly disrespect the boundaries of people they have hurt who do not wish to interact with them. Reasonable adults would consider this man a continued threat to children. The Bible says those who teach are held to a higher standard than others. Where is the accountability? This episode of the podcast is a disgrace. PLEASE do not let children listen to it.

The episode with Mark and Debbie is deeply problematic, and minimizes the damage that pornography, especially literal Child Sex Abuse Material, has on families. It is NOT different than actually molesting a child, and puts the perpetrator in the same category as a child molester. Call it what it is. They are pedophiles. Not to mention the evidence supports that someone who uses CSAM will always be a danger to children. God weeps at the minimization of this truly evil behavior. If Mark and Debbie have children, I’d like to know how it affected them to live in a home that accepted such behavior as the same level of sin as “being controlling” or “living together before marriage” because those are NOT the same thing. Have you asked their perspective? One actually destroys human life. Those children with whom he used to pleasure himself, have to live with the pain of being sexually abused for the rest of their lives, and his use of them not only supported it, but furthered it. EVIL. Please consider removing this horrid and misinformed episode. Survivors of sexual abuse deserve better. This should also be rated mature because no child should listen to this. I’d also recommend interviewing someone like Andrew Bauman, a Christian therapist and researcher, who researches sexual brokenness in men, and how to truly help them. He has sound knowledge and doesn’t belittle the pain that sexual abuse causes to families. This episode is incredibly disappointed and misguided to say the least.
