    Chef Aran Goldstein is both a teacher and an entrepreneur who is dedicated towards building skills and intuition around food and cooking for his students and clients so they can live the life they want. Aran graduated from Northeastern University in Boston and received his degree and training in culinary arts from the New England Culinary Institute. His work experiences are many, from brigade work in boutique hotels, stints in Michelin star properties in Italy, to opening a restaurant in China.  As an educator, Chef Goldstein has taught hundreds of culinary and baking lessons, from an organic farm cooking school to current medical students learning about food as medicine. He recently launched a new project called Cook and Live, which supports individuals and families through their journeys in food, cooking, and thriving as humans.     Story #059 - Dennis Littley

    Chef Dennis Littley started cooking at a very early age and drew his early inspiration from Graham Kerr, the Galloping Gourmet. After completing his training as a chef’s apprentice, he went on to work at white tablecloth restaurants, in corporate executive dining, and finally at an all-girls Catholic high school. After 3 years at the school, he created a Culinary Training Program that brought acclaim to the school and was used as a model for other schools around the country via the foodservice company he worked for. After retiring from professional cooking, Dennis became a food blogger, where he would become known as Chef Dennis by his fans and readers worldwide. He has expanded that content creator role into a food & travel blogger, a chef speaker, a brand ambassador, and a digital strategist. This past year his blog had over 8.5 million page views with over one million followers on social media. A native Texan who lived most of his life in the Philadelphia area, Chef Dennis now resides in Kissimmee, Florida with his wife Lisa. He credits an old family friend Mama Jeanette with teaching him his core values and how to listen to food. His goal is to share his recipes and the best cooking tips to make his listeners feel more comfortable in their own kitchens and to help them find the joy of cooking!     Story #058 - Jennifer Lee

    Chef Jennifer Lee grew up in Mystic, Connecticut where she has had a love and passion for baking and cooking since a very young age. While other kids her age were watching cartoons, she was watching the Food Network. As a young teenager in high school Jennifer started working at her relative’s Chinese dim sum restaurant, beginning as a hostess and busser, and eventually working into more advanced positions in both the front and back of the house. During her later years in high school, Jennifer accepted a position at a bake shop in Mystic Connecticut, where she worked in the front of the house taking orders and assisting customers, eventually becoming a barista, and helping in the kitchen with the baking. After graduating from high school, Jennifer enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York where she graduated with an associate degree in baking and pastry arts. During her time at the Culinary Institute of America, she opened her at home bakery called J Lee Bakery, which specialized in cakes, cupcakes, and French macaroons. Besides baking, Jenn has always had a love for photography and videography. In the past couple of years, she has started her own YouTube channel which focused on her time at the Culinary Institute of America to share her experience with her viewers who may be interested in attending the college one day. Her videos have become very popular which has allowed her to become a legitimate content creator with multiple brand deals. In the future, she plans to continue her YouTube channel while pursuing a pastry chef’s position in Boston or New York.     Story #057 - Rudy Kloeble

    Raised in a family of restaurateurs, Chef Rudy Kloeble grew up assisting in the kitchen and bakery that his dad owned in Idyllwild, CA. He did this from a very young age, starting out doing odd chores such as stuffing donuts and peeling potatoes, and continued working in the family businesses thru high school and into his first semester of community college. Rudy was then nudged by his dad and uncle to go to visit his other uncle in Germany and attend a Hotel School, which he did. He then went on to get his culinary apprenticeship in Munich. After he completed his apprenticeship, Rudy stayed on in Germany working for a Swiss company for 2 years, where he worked many events such as Oktoberfest and cooking for royalty and celebrities such as the King of Spain. He eventually returned home to the United States to help his uncle with his ranch where he was a self-made farmer for five years growing a variety of crops and raising chickens, pheasants, turkeys, goats, and cattle. He eventually left the ranch and opened and operated a Cafe in San Diego for 3 ½ years before selling it and going into teaching. He started teaching classes at a local wellness center before joining the faculty at the Art Institute San Diego where he was employed for 11 years. Today Chef Kloeble is a lecturing instructor at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa.     Chef Mario Limaduran is a native of Bolivia and immigrated to California when he was 14 years old. Raised in a hospitality-driven family, Mario’s love of food first began when his grandmother helped him make pizza for his classmates as a young boy. From that moment, combined with an infatuation with the movie Ratatouille, Mario fell in love with the feeling of making people happy through culinary arts. Chef Mario attended both the North Miami and Denver campuses of Johnson and Wales University, receiving an associate's degree in culinary arts and a bachelor’s degree in culinary nutrition. The culinary nutrition program at JWU empowered Mario with the knowledge to succeed within the sports performance world and develop a world-class program for the UFC and the Sacramento Kings, as well as the necessary knowledge to do food product research and development.  Chef Mario's culinary nutrition career continues today at Trifecta, where he recently developed a training program to empower culinary teams around the world who work within the sports performance field to educate and implement the unique method to personalize every meal to an athlete’s personal needs. As their executive chef, he leads Trifecta’s Research and Development Department and has helped grow the company into becoming the largest organic meal delivery service in the United States.     Chef LaToya Larkin, MBA, CCE, has over 20 plus years of expansive knowledge and culinary passion which has led to a lifetime of achievement opportunities. Chef Larkin recently retired from her 8-year position as the Culinary Arts Program Coordinator at Spring High School in Spring, TX, where she was the first African American female chef in the district.     Story #054 - Judy Doherty

    Chef Judy Doherty’s passion for cooking began with helping her grandmother make raisin oatmeal for breakfast. From there she held her first food service job at 15 and was then accepted into the Culinary Institute of America at age 18 for their AOS degree where she graduated second in her class. From there, Judy went on to the Fachschule Richemont in Switzerland where she focused on pastry arts and baking. Being a lifelong learner, Chef Doherty worked as an executive pastry chef for Hyatt Resorts for over 8 years before returning to school where she received a Bachelor of Science degree from Johnson & Wales University, graduating with Summa Cum Laude distinction. Judy’s most recent degree was a Master of Professional Services for Business from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. In addition, Chef Doherty holds 2 visual art and professional graphic design certificates from the University of California’s Berkeley Extension. She currently runs multiple companies in the publishing and imaging industry and lives happily in the San Francisco with her 2 dogs.     Story #053 - John-Michael Collins

    Chef John-Michael Collins was born in San Diego, CA and from his earliest memories growing up he can remember a life full of abuse, including physical, mental, and sexual. John-Michael tried to end his life at the age of 10 though thankfully his grandparents stepped in to rescue him from the foster system. Due to this traumatic upbringing, he never believed in himself, nor though he deserved anything good, which he believes is what set him up to make a lot of bad choices throughout the early parts of his life. These bad choices are what eventually caused him to end up in Federal Lockup for several years. While incarcerated, John-Michael ended up in the kitchen, starting in the dish room. However, he was a fast learner and quickly moved up the ranks to become the number two cook and the person who prepared the food for the officer’s mess dining room. Once released, he found himself at a halfway house in Washington, DC with suggestions to seek out and apply for formal culinary training at the DC Central Kitchen (DCCK). He eventually applied, was accepted, and ended up graduating. After completing his training, he accepted a multi-week internship at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City, which eventually turned into full-time employment. Chef Collins still currently works for the Ritz Carlton as a cook one but is looking forward to the next step in his culinary journey as he applies for various sous chef positions within the Marriott Company. However, an even more important goal for John-Michael is to become a beacon of hope for those coming behind him, and to continue to give back to his community by bringing people together through the avenue of food.
