    It’s time for Layton to get the plan in motion. Till has officially joined the other side and it’s time to equalize the train with the tailies. When Ruth finds out the truth about Melanie from the commander and the Folgers, they confront Melanie. As she gets locked up, the revolting begins. It is nothing shy of a complete blood bath ending with a devastating loss for the tailies.     Snowpiercer S1 E7 Recap & After Show: Melanie and Josie Face Off, and Layton Leads the Rebellion

    On this week's episode of Barksins, season 1 episode 7, LJ states that we are all selfish, doing things to serve our own purpose. As the rest of the episode unwinds, we see Layton building up the rebellion by going to speed to Miss Audrey in third class. Miles has been promoted to engineer, and Bennett goes to grab him from his class. Miles is given an orange as a gift, and this causes him to throw up. In the sick bay, Dr. Peyton helps Josie talk to Miles, and Josie lets Miles know that the revolution is still happening. Melanie pays Zara a visit, and tells Zara that she knows she's pregnant. After threatening her baby, Zara ends up ratting out Josie. Melanie takes Josie to holding... where she ends up interrogating her and freezing one of her fingers before taking a hammer to it. Though Til tries to help, Josie recognizes there is only so much that can be done. When Melanie returns, Josie has frozen off her entire hand (with presumably the help of Til), and Melanie and Josie face off in a fight. Unfortunately for Josie, Melanie ends up getting the upper hand and locks her in the interrogation room-- where the freeze is spraying in and ends up most likely killing Josie. At the end of the episode, Melanie shows Miles to the engineer room-- and she answers the question posed in the beginning of the episode (about people being selfish) by stating that she does things for the good of the train, and not for her own happiness.     Snowpiercer S1 E2-5 Recap & After Show: On this jam-packed Snowpiercer AfterShow, we’re covering episodes 2, 3, 4, and 5! Here’s what went down!

    Episode 2: We learn more about the tailies, and the entire class system! In a train of 3000 people heading towards the end of the world, there’s bound to be some tension! Episode 3: It’s Fight Night! To offer some entertainment on the train, fight night has become a tradition that brings the classes together. With the class system already on the rocks, things definitely come to a head. Nikki also dies and we were shook! Episode 4: In the aftermath of Nikki’s death, Melanie starts to lose control and Layton begins to put the pieces of the murder together. We now know that Eric is the killer, but we also find out that he did not work alone! Layton questions LJ and gets exactly what he needs out of her. Episode 5: As Layton finally puts the pieces of the murder together, LJ must now stand trial as she is accused of murder. The classes want equal representation for themselves in this trial, but Melanie just wants to get railed by Bennett. In the end, the classes find LJ to be guilty but “Mr. Wilford” aka Melanie and her team, swoop in to save LJ to avoid a class war. However, we think she might’ve just started one.     Snowpiercer S1 E1 Recap & After Show: Snowpiercer Pierces Into Great Start

    Six years after a world climate crisis, most of what's left of the population has ended up on one train. As the train makes its revolutions around frozen planet Earth, Layton finds himself moving from the "tail" end to the third class where he's tasked to find a murderer. Melanie, the voice of the train, guides him through this new world where he rediscovers things as simple as strawberries--as well as rediscovers his ex-girlfriend, Zara. After Old Ivan hangs himself, the passengers of the tail class jump into revolution. Trying to make peace for his people, Layton agrees to work as the detective for the third class on the basis that no harm comes to the people who attempted to revolt. We're left waiting in anticipation, wondering what will happen when Nikki wakes up in the sleeper train and how this will affect Layton and the members of the tail end.
