Human F*ckery
If you waited by the TV for new episodes of “Are You Afraid of the Dark” each weekend or wasted study hall reading the weird parts of the encyclopedia, this one’s for you SPECIFICALLY. “Human F*ckery” pits a doctor of psychology and an investigative journalist against one another in a battle of wits, research, and creative storytelling. Each episode the curious pair get assigned a topic. Then, they go spelunking through history’s colon in an effort to find the most jaw-dropping, unbelievable, and utterly bonkers examples of that topic buried in the dark history deposited by our collective ancestors. What’s the point? To captivate, occasionally horrify, and accidentally educate a rotating panel of judges—including you, the listener—into crowning one of our hosts the winner. This irreverent showcase for darker narratives buried in the historic trash heap was the winner of 2021’s Best of the Beat Award here in New Orleans, which means it’s enjoyed by people besides the hosts’ parents.
Probably the best podcasts I have listened to

Out of all the podcasts I have listened to (several different people I listen to) and is by far the best. So many emotions go through your mind while listening. Plus completely addicting.
Spooky nerds, assemble!

The internet is an often terrible - but occasionally wonderful - place that can bring together people who love the same weird stuff. This podcast is meticulously researched and expertly produced. Kimberly and Edward are intelligent, engaging hosts who often run me through the gamut of laughing, crying, and silent rage screaming all within the span of one episode. Grateful to K E for dedicating time out of their already busy schedules to produce content that makes my dark, nerdy little heart so happy!
Five stars!!

One of my favorite podcasts. Kimberly and Edward have a great chemistry. I don’t normally consider myself a fan of spooky/scary content but these guys are awesome.
10/10 Would Bang

I met Edward when he was my guide on a Voodoo tour in New Orleans. He was such a phenomenal storyteller that when he mentioned this podcast, I immediately went to download. I have not been disappointed. Kim and Edward are both clever and engaging on every episode. 10/10 would bang this podcast (if it were not just voices in my car lacking any physical form). You get it.
