    Left brained or Right? Black or white? In this episode I speak to a truly creative trailblazer - Akhila Krishnan who combines the best of both worlds and creates multi-sensorial experiences that appeal to all our senses. A multi-disciplinary designer with a background in Film from NID, she went onto study the space of projection design, and graduated from the Royal College of Art, London. She takes me through her work in graphic narrative, zines, comics, project design installations and so much more that blurs the lines between what we are used to seeing or hearing. Playing with light, time and space she has created award winning projects globally and in India.     Twin towers of Comical Change with Bob & Bobby

    Saswata and Susruta Mukherjee, known as Bob and  Bobby and are twin brothers from Bengal, they are supremely talented filmmakers, animators, and illustrators and they love creating art out of things they see and things they don't. They worked as designers in a firm for a year before quitting their job together to tell their stories.They have been freelancing ever since so that they can manage time for their personal projects. Together, they have made films and illustrated for brands like Redbull, Oral B, HDFC Bank, Hike, and Scholastic among others. Politically correct or not, these guys are creating some really out-of-this-world stuff.  Focussing on issues that are socially relevant and need to be spoken about - they put forward a satirical twist on issues ranging from caste system, the apathetic state of our country and may more instances of relevance.  Tune in, to listen to where they get their inspiration from and enjoy stories about how they grew up and got used to being twins.     In today's episode of Half-fry and Toast I speak with a Disco Queen from the '80s -  Rupa Biswas. She recorded an album back in the 1980 with Indian Classical legend Aashish Khan.  Recorded in a studio in Calgary, Canada her album was a perfect blend of classical music with balearic disco beats that get you right in the groove anytime, anywhere. I was so excited to connect with her and hear about her story of how her album got accidentally famous with her song hitting global charts across France, Spain and other European cities and the leading DJ Caribou, also known as Daphni playing it in his global sets.     Shivpriya was hit hard in her early 20s when she was diagnosed with stage 3 Tuberculosis and could barely say her own name.  She discovered the numerous benefits of Marijuana also known as Ganja or Hashish in India. She is now India's First Female Cannabis activist and owns her own start-up 'Hempvati' through which she not only educates thousands of rural individuals but also works with international conventions to help legalize medical grade cannabis in India. We speak about his travels through the sea, the kind of local fresh catch that we can consume sustainably as well as what he aims to do with his own start-up Bluecatch seafoods. We speak about the history of the Kohli community and learn about amazing traditions the fishermen do, when sighting a good fish. She is the first female solo kayaker from India and has managed to Kayak 70 Nautical miles in just 36 hours - smashing records!
