Brendan Dyer - Law Finance Group

Brendan Dyer from Law Finance Group joins this week’s pod. Topics include the big LFG Rocade news, how his background as a law firm pricing professional helps him meet counterparties where they are, the reemergence of non insured appellate monetization and the shift in the market from one off single case funding to sophisticated financings of multiple matters. All this and more on this week’s All Things Litigation Funding.  As always, special thanks to our sponsor Level 7.

Dai Wai Chin Feman - ILFA

Dai Wai Chin Feman joins this weeks episode for a whirlwind discussion. Topics include, but are not limited too like any good discovery request, his work as US Chapter Chair at the International Legal Finance Association, a proposal for funding of US class actions, the unlikely alliance to slow the growth of MSOs, and of course the burning question of his pending free agency. All that and more on this week's All Things Litigation Funding, brought to you by Level Seven NYC.

    Fiona Chaney - Omni Bridgeway

Fiona Chaney from Omni Bridgeway joins to discuss her widely shared critique of Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse's report on Third Party Litigation Funding. Spoiler alert, she is not a fan and has the receipts. Besides pointing out the lack of factual support and reliance on private proprietary modeling, (i.e., there is no way to validate what they are saying), we talk more broadly about efforts to limit #litigationfunding such that the powerful will maintain their asymmetric financial advantage over the judicial system. As if that were not enough for a single episode, we also touch briefly on the fact that we both worked at #Howrey and unveil to the world the podcast's official sponsor.

Rebecca Berrebi - Litigation Finance Advisors

Rebecca Berrebi from Litigation Finance Advisors joins for the first episode of the 2026 season. Topics covered included her experience in the early days ofthe #litigationfinance market and her identification of the need for skilled advisors for those seeking #litigationfunding. We then moved on to get her thoughts on the economic and societal truths that make #litigationfunding so attractive to its users and important to the judicial system as whole. Finally, we finished out the episode discussing her founding and ongoing involvement in WOLF - Women of Litigation Finance. https://www.litfinadvisors.com/

David and Evan - Burford Capital

David Perla and Evan Meyerson from Burford Capital join the pod. We talk about corporate America's thoughts on #litigationfunding. While it is well known that many companies take shots at the industry when they are the #Defendants, you may be surprised to learn that these same critics are more than happy to leverage this #capital when they are pursuing affirmative litigation.

    Gary Goldberg - Archer

Gary Goldberg, Executive Vice President at Archer Systems joins to talk about where the money goes when the cases are over. As one of the largest (if not the largest), lien resolution companies in the United States, Archer distributes billions in settlement funds from mass tort cases. While some opponents of accountability would like you to believe that the only people who make money in these litigations are lawyers and funders, he will tell you about the billions of settlement dollars that go to medical providers such as Medicare and Medicaid out of these funds. Additionally, contrary to the "frivolous lawsuit" narrative, we discuss the exacting proof needed to achieve a settlement in a large mass tort case.

Kelly Daley - Gerchen Capital Partners

Kelly Daley, Managing Director at Gerchen Capital Partners joins this week's episode. We talk about her role leading GCP's corporate monetization strategy and the reasons that companies with claims are choosing to pull forward revenue instead of waiting for resolution of class actions and MDLs. We also touch upon the law firm portfolio market, how GCP looks at trading risk, and what she and the team at GCP are looking for in a counterparty. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, this episode identifies a certain university as the number one feeder to #litigationfinance providers.

  8. 07/24/2025

Lauren and Mani from Signal Peak

Lauren Harrison and Mani Walia from Signal Peak join the pod to discuss their new venture. Why did they decide to leave well established entities to join forces? What do critics get wrong about the use of outside capital for meritorious claims? What is the actual meaning of Signal Peak? All these questions, (and more!) will be answered on this week's episode.
