    Why there always will be a Left and Right, a PNM and UNC supporter.

    Why are some persons extremely left wing or right wing? Why do we elect people that sometimes don’t have our values? I think emotional thinking is the cause of this. We need to dig deep, looking at the first principles of an issue to find out what’s true. If we can’t agree on what’s true, we can never debate what is the right choice for you, the company or country. Boiling things down and reasoning up WITH looking at the past is invaluable. Imagining hearing a politician saying he was wrong or a relative or friend of yours. Imagine you fighting to the teeth about something and ignoring any evidence that you may be wrong. Maybe we need to approach things as if we might be wrong while having the confidence to say our opinion. Get people who actually knows about things you don’t and sees things differently from you, because you will always have blind spots. We talked about the raising or lowering taxes, PPE and testing in the US and NAPA and the Petrotrin Refinery in Trinidad and Tobago. Was NAPA overpriced? Frankly, the number show this. Did we waste money on projects at Petrotrin and over staff the company? The numbers show this. Yet the PNM and UNC allowed this to happen because they didn’t want to cut jobs unless they absolutely needed to. Did we use all our natural resources effectively? Let’s look at the numbers first. There’s a time to have intuition and a time to be rational. There’s a time for emotion, but there has to be a time for facts.
