    Moonstruck, In-Person Schedule, and COVID-19 Exposure Notifications (Season Two, Episode Six)

    This is another Brogan episode. First, we take a look at the word "moonstruck", and shortly discuss Valentine's Day. Next up was a discussion of the first week of in-person learning at West, with a detailed explanation of the updated Term 3 schedule. Next, there is a very, VERY long segment about COVID-19 Exposure Notifications. There are instructions for iPhones and Android devices, an explanation of how Exposure Notifications work, what they do and an even longer segment about the privacy of it all. Finally, there is a short piece about how TV West and the podcast are returning to a (more) normal release schedule. The rest is history...after you listen to the episode, that is... Enjoy!

    In this one-person episode, Brogan runs the show and introduces us to the West in-person instruction plan. It's quite intricate; you'll have to listen to find out more. We also have a Word of the Day (Word of the Week was stolen by the weekly TV West show), "serendipity". Again, have a listen. Finally, we talked a bit about the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. As a virtual event, it was okay, given that Zoom Webinars are not known for stable frame rates or high resolutions.     February 2021 Listener Newsletter

    This Listener Newsletter comes after Term 2 has concluded. In-person instruction resumes for those who wish on February 8. Mandatory COVID-19 testing is required in advance. More information on West's COVID-19 instruction policy can be found on the district website or the school website. A more in-depth look into this policy is coming in Episode 5, releasing soon.     Mr. Mystery, Truculent, and Voting (Season 2, Episode 4)

    In this shorter episode, we have a limited cast but a full roster of fun. We open with Will introducing our show and Traiton introduces us to Mr. Mystery, the Mystical Master of Mystery. Mr. Mystery gives us a blow-by-blow on the 1960's classic sci-fi horror film The Slime People, along with a movie review, just a little too late for Halloween. After the lengthy review, Brogan describes how our very own West High School football team is doing very well in the state playoffs, and then the WoW (trunculent) is spoiled by Will; however, it's all in good fun. We quickly discuss the 2020 US general elections, and then we sign off to go eat lunch. We also are adjusting to a less predictable release schedule going into Term 2; please bear with us.
