Egg Quality vs. Egg Count — Why AMH Isn’t the Final Word [Mature Fertility Miniseries Ep. 2]

Mature Fertility Miniseries Episode 2: Egg Quality vs. Egg Count — Why AMH Isn’t the Final Word You’ve been told your AMH is too low. That your “ovarian reserve” is running out. That you’re out of time. But what if those numbers aren’t the full story? In this episode, I’m breaking down the truth about what AMH actually measures — and why it doesn’t predict whether you can conceive naturally. You’ll learn why egg quality matters more than egg count, what your hormone numbers are really telling you, and how much power you still have to influence your fertility after 35. We’ll cover: 💫 The myth of AMH as your “fertility fate” 💫 Why your egg quality — not just quantity — determines your success 💫 What really drives egg health (and how to support it starting today) 💫 The 90-day fertility window that changes everything You’ll also hear a real story that proves it’s not about your numbers — it’s about what you do with the next three months. If you’ve been spiraling after reading your lab results, this episode will help you exhale and see the hope hiding in your biology. 🎧 Listen now on The Resilient Fertility Podcast and join the Fertile After 35 Waitlist to start building better eggs — naturally. Download my FREE Ovulation Confidence Quickstart guide to get started on understanding the signs your cycle is giving you about your fertility and hormonal wellness!

Breaking the Cycle: How to Heal Your Mother Wound and Reclaim Your Power as a Future Mother

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the idea of becoming a mother because of the challenging relationship you’ve had with your own? You’re not alone. Many women struggle with the fear that their own unresolved "mother wound" could hold them back from being the kind of mother they want to be. In this episode, we dive deep into the concept of remothering—what it means, why it’s so important, and how it can transform your journey into motherhood. If you've ever felt like you’re trying to be something you’ve never seen modeled, or if the thought of holding space for your future children feels daunting, this episode is for you. We’ll explore why so many women today find themselves going “no contact” with their mothers and how this impacts their sense of isolation and longing for a village that supports them. But we’ll also challenge the romanticized idea of "the village" and discuss how true healing begins within yourself. Join us as we unpack how to break free from the cycle of pain, redefine what it means to be a mother, and learn to mother yourself first. This journey isn’t easy, but it’s the most rewarding work you’ll ever do—both for yourself and for the children you dream of nurturing. About Nikki: Nikki is a deeply insightful guide on the journey of remothering, with a rich background in early childhood development, postpartum care, and emotional holding. Before I became a mother myself, Nikki was someone I looked up to as a model for the kind of mother I hoped to become. She held space for me during some of the most emotional and vulnerable moments of my postpartum journey, and in doing so, helped me relearn how to hold space for my own big feelings with compassion and grace. Her foundation in child development is rooted in formal education and hands-on experience, including training in RIE® (Resources for Infant Educarers) and the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Nikki has also served as a postpartum doula and facilitated mothers' circles—spaces where she supported other women through the raw and beautiful layers of early motherhood. In her own healing and service to others, Nikki has pursued additional training in trauma and grief work through the Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath, and Death. She now offers one-on-one sessions that explore the themes of remothering, emotional repair, and holding space for the inner child. Nikki currently homeschools her two children and continues to explore the evolving archetypes of motherhood in her daily life. Her humility may try to convince you otherwise, but Nikki is truly one of the most thoughtful, critical, and wise voices I’ve encountered on this topic. I’m honored to share her voice with you in this episode. To learn more about remothering or to reach out to work with Nikki, you can contact her directly at theremotheringemail@gmail.com.
