At the end of each episode, I will ask my guest to reveal one wholehearted honest truth that they have never revealed before about their industry or themselves, it may be a story that horrifies the nation, a change they want to see happen, an opinion that they have never publicly stated, something that gives us the listener some realness.     THIS IS A SPECIAL ONE! One that I have thought about for a very long time. Meet my baby sister Darcy who joins me in telling our Mam, Jackie's story, and what a Mam she was. Our Mam was diagnosed with a rare form of non primary, stage 4 cancer in 2018. Anyone who has fought or fought cancer alongside someone will know it is not linear and resources in Ireland in compared to some parts of the world we are lagging and so, we explain about fundraising for my Mams treatment in Germany. This episode brings you from the starting point of our shared journey to the passing of our amazing Mam, explaining the emotional and physical pains she experienced. Grief is not something I ever thought about until I had to and I feel by sharing my experience I can connect with others who too maybe struggling. I would do anything to have my Mam here but I know she is so proud of how we are all surviving and I know someday we will begin to thrive again! But my god, I miss her so much! And, My baby sister has been my rock and I am so proud of her strength and I know you will agree with me by the end of this episode. Thank you all, for the amazing support and feedback over the last two episodes, this season feels like a very special one!

    Safiyya Vorajee speaks to me about her unthinkable journey of losing her beautiful baby girl Azaylia, at 8 months to an aggressive form of leukemia in 2021. Safs explains how she has survived the unimaginable pain of loss and how herself and Ashley Cain (Azaylia's father) have turned their pain into passion by creating the foundation The Azaylia Foundation supporting families that are also faced with disease. Saf tells us of the care they received and sourcing it overseas, what life is like after such a loss, how she copes with grief. This is a story of bravery, pain, community, humanity and brought me nothing but perspective. I am in awe of Saf and wish her and her family nothing but peace in the future.
