    #86: The No Substance Mixtape

Episode 86 is up and running with a brand new show for 2026. Nick is hosting and holding the fort down, as he has a lot to discuss since the last episode. We start things off with one of the most anticipated albums of the last five years, with J. Cole's The Fall Off. Nick gives his honest thoughts about the two disc album and applauds it for the songs, samples, and interpolations, but boos it for three small details. Find out what quick report card grade he gives it. After that, Bad Bunny takes over the Super Bowl stage at Levi's Stadium and brings the culture with him during the 20 minute outing. From stars appearing to him bring Latin American countries together, Nick wants to know what the fuss was about during, after, and post his performance. Next, a person who hasn't been talked about on the show, Kanye West, issues an apology for his Jewish rants that he said years ago. West wants people to forgive him for his misgivings but listen to see if Nick is easy to forgive. Later, Bay Area rapper LaRussell recently sat down in an interview and told the hosts that as much as he respects Lil Wayne, the older he got, the more he realized that Wayne's music has no substance behind his music. Nick gives his thoughts on the Bay Area rapper's comments and find out if he agrees or disagrees with what he said. All that, plus shoutouts, album recommendations, and more!! For our final episode of 2025, Nick is back to discuss more hip hop topics and is giving more takes on what is happening. First off, with his Gangsta Grillz mixtape online, The Game stops by a podcast to answer why he was absent from Kendrick's Pop Out Show back in June 2024. He gives and doubles down on his take for that show, BUT, fans are remembering a video that he posted days after the show, and his excuse. Nick gives his thoughts on which excuse he believes from the Compton rapper. After that, with 21 Savage releasing his latest album What Happened To The Streets, a lot of rappers are coming after 21 with his F--- The Streets Movement. While some see it as a sign of maturity, others say that the rapper is turning his back on what made him. See where Nick falls on 21's Movement. Later, now that 2025 is over, Nick shares his top 5 picks on people who have had the worst year in rap. (Spoiler Alert: Diddy does fall onto the list).
