I AM MOTHER — chapter 1: When Motherhood Breaks You Open with Viktoria Piechowitz

What happens when becoming a mother completely changes the person you thought you were? In this episode of I Am Mother, I sit down with Viktoria Piechowitz—a mother of two, pre- and postnatal yoga teacher, and holistic nutrition consultant specializing in fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and baby nutrition. Originally from Germany, Viktoria came to Canada to work in the animation industry. Then came a global pandemic, two babies, two very different birth experiences, and a motherhood journey that completely changed the direction of her life. This is not a conversation about having it all figured out. It’s about what happens when motherhood cracks you open. We go deep into both of Viktoria’s birth experiences and the processing, questioning and awakening that followed. We talk about the parts of motherhood that can be difficult to articulate—the layers beneath the beautiful moments, the identity shifts, the things we wish we had known, and the things she would do differently if she could go back. That awakening eventually led Viktoria toward prenatal and postnatal yoga and holistic nutrition, and toward what she now sees as her deeper calling: supporting women through one of the most transformative journeys of their lives and helping them create a motherhood that feels more connected, nourished and aligned. But we also talk about the reality of where she is now. Building a business while raising two young children. Navigating their emotions. Not knowing what the future looks like or where her family will be next. Wrestling with big questions around education. Trying to build something of her own while feeling like the systems around her aren’t necessarily making it easy. And underneath all of that, there is the deeply personal work of looking at her own thoughts, patterns and challenges—and asking herself what she wants to heal, change and break for the sake of her children. There is no sugar coating in this conversation. Just the real deal of motherhood: the beauty, the grief, the transformation, the identity shifts, the uncertainty, the awakening, and the ongoing work of becoming. In this episode, we talk about: * Viktoria’s journey from animation into motherhood * Her two very different birth experiences * The emotional processing and awakening that came after birth * How motherhood changed her sense of identity and purpose * The moment she began to recognize a new calling * Becoming a prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher and holistic nutrition consultant * What she wishes she had known before becoming a mother * The things she would shift or do differently now * The layers of motherhood that don’t always get talked about * Building a business while raising two young children * The uncertainty of not knowing what comes next * Parenting, education and making decisions for your children in an ever-changing world * Looking honestly at our own patterns and triggers * Breaking cycles and consciously choosing what we want to pass on to our children * Creating a motherhood that feels more connected, nourished and aligned * And the messy, ongoing process of figuring it all out This one is for anyone who has ever looked at motherhood and thought, there has to be more to this than the version we’ve been sold. Because sometimes motherhood doesn’t just change your life. Sometimes it reveals you. links & resources: * Connect with Viktoria on Instagram: @ayrawellbeing * Connect with Viktoria on Substack: From Womb to World * Matrescence: On Pregnancy, Childbirth and Motherhood by Lucy Jones * Connect with Erin on Instagram: @wildwitherin This is a public episode. the threshold: eclipse season, identity crisis' & finding the ground in the in-between

We’re in a potent season of transitions — endings, beginnings, identity shifts, and the dismantling of stories and patterns that can’t come with us into what’s next. In this bonus episode, we explore the astrology of the current eclipse season, the nodes, Pluto, the houses being activated, and what this moment is revealing about where we’re being asked to grow, release, and evolve — individually and collectively. But this conversation is less about predicting what’s going to happen and more about what it actually takes to live through change in real time. We talk about nervous system regulation, uncertainty, trust and surrender, taking new action before we have all the answers, getting messy and being a beginner again, and anchoring into a vision before it has fully taken form. We also zoom out to consider how these themes are playing out on the collective and political stage during this particular moment in history. we dive into: * Eclipse season, the nodes & Pluto * Endings, beginnings & identity shifts * Old stories, inner programming & new patterns * The nervous system and navigating uncertainty * Embodiment, action & becoming a beginner * Vision, trust & surrender * The personal and collective transformation happening around us This is a conversation for the in-between — when the old is no longer quite working, the new isn’t fully visible yet, and you’re being asked to trust what’s unfolding. The next six months are being shaped by what we’re willing to release, embody, and choose now. links & resources: * Connect with Erin on Instagram: @wildwitherin * Join Notes From The Wild, a monthly love letter * The Life Update & Pregnancy Episode * Order a copy of my book: Wild Beauty This is a public episode. becoming her: identity, pregnancy & what i'm learning about letting go

This episode is a deeply personal life update and the beginning of a brand new chapter. I’m sharing some big news—I’m pregnant. Alongside this new season, I’m also opening up about selling our home, preparing for our move, the recent release of my book, and the practice that’s helped me (and so many of my clients) navigate life’s transitions with more ease: The Season of Life ritual. From there, I’m introducing a brand new podcast series: I Am Mother. Over the coming week, I’ll be joined by incredible women as we explore the many layers of motherhood, business, space holding, identity, and transformation. In this conversation, I share: * Finding out I was pregnant and the emotions that followed. * Supporting my nervous system through the first trimester. * My evolving perspective on pregnancy, the medical system, body autonomy, and choosing a midwifery-led path. * The identity shifts I’ve already begun experiencing. * What I’m choosing to embrace—and what I’m intentionally letting go of—during this season. * Why surrender, trust, and creating space feel like the deepest invitations of this chapter. This isn’t just an update—it’s an invitation into a new season, one rooted in trust, softness, and honouring the unfolding. I’m so grateful you’re here. links & resources: * Connect with Erin on Instagram: @wildwitherin * Order a copy of my book: Wild Beauty This is a public episode. the evolution of friendship: outgrowing, rebuilding & finding yourself through connection

friendship is one of the most transformative relationships we’ll ever experience—yet it’s often the one we talk about the least. in this episode, we’re exploring what happens when friendships change, when we outgrow people we once loved deeply, and why those shifts don’t always mean something has gone wrong. we talk about the discomfort of changing, the grief that can come with different seasons of friendship, and the courage it takes to be honest about what our relationships are asking of us. we also dive into astrology and the parts of your birth chart that can offer insight into the way you show up in friendship, what you’re naturally here to give, and what kinds of connections help you grow. in this conversation, we explore: * why outgrowing friendships is a natural part of life * the different seasons every friendship moves through * navigating the discomfort of changing while your relationships evolve * how honesty can deepen—or transform—your friendships * the astrology of friendship: what to look for in your birth chart * what you bring into your relationships and the patterns you may repeat * meeting new versions of yourself through the people who walk beside you * making space for friendships that reflect who you’re becoming, not just who you’ve been whether you’re grieving a friendship, nurturing lifelong connections, or opening yourself to new ones, this episode is an invitation to see friendship as one of life’s greatest teachers. links & resources * my interview on the Out Loud podcast with Cindy Schwartz * The Florence Given Show friendship episode * Connect with Erin on Instagram: @wildwitherin * Order a copy of my book: Wild Beauty This is a public episode. unmuted — reclaiming your tone in work and life

a candid episode about how we silence ourselves — why it’s somatic, where it shows up in our work and marketing, and how I’m learning to move through it as I redesign my business (and lean into sales without shrieking). personal, practical, and grounded. inside this episode: * erin’s voice journey so far: from quiet teacher to someone who wants to be heard without performing. * what self‑censorship is — simple definition and how it shows up beyond politics (fear, reputation, fitting in). * where it showed up for me: offers i didn’t launch, stories i edited out, and the small pulls to make myself “safer” in branding. * marketing and branding: the edits we make to be liked vs. the ones that make us disappear. * the somatic side: how the body shuts down, tenses, or numbs when we censor — and how sensation gives us the clue to honesty. * the real cost: what holding back does to your decisions, energy, and creative container. * my bridge from taboo → true: why i’m obsessed with learning sales (not hustle, but humane craft) as a radical act of showing up. * the legwork: what she watched, practiced, and mirrored to become more present in selling without performance. * sustainability in selling: we’re always offering ourselves — the question is how to do it without depletion. * the podcast story: how this show is shifting to flow with me, not against me — more honest, less polished, more useful. links & resources * June 20th | Summer Solstice In The Park * Connect with Erin on Instagram: Erin Marguerite * Order a copy of my book: Wild Beauty This is a public episode.
