Beyond the Garment with Drew Joiner

I won’t lie I’ve been struggling to get a grip on what’s going on in my fashion internship in NYC. I’ve been crippled with the thought of getting things wrong or being the only one in the room lost. Since I’ve been focused on that I’m missing out on the big picture which is I’m there to learn and grow, mistake are going to made on this journey. I have to remained humble and know that I don’t know it all. It’s so simple but was missing that these pass few week lol

I’ve been going through so rough patch in my health that has kept me stressed and scared for two month’s straight and this podcast has allowed me to detox and relax on my drive to uni, work, etc. a great podcast if you love garments and everything fashion. Thank you for everything your doing Drew keep it up!!

Upon initially listening to Drew’s podcast you’ll find yourself drawn in by his apparent friendliness, warmth, and easy-goingness. However, you’ll stay for his well thought out commentary on the current fashion “zeitgeist”, trends vs timelessness, and the lifestyle of being a digital creator. Through his perspective, and those of his featured guests, Drew opens the door for conversation and community which - at the end of the day - is what the fashion and creative worlds are all about.

I appreciate Drew’s approach to interviewing; I think it makes guest speakers more open about their experiences, which makes for a fascinating listen. I also love when Drew keeps his “mess ups” in post. It adds to the low key nature of the podcast. Can’t wait for more interview AND solo episodes. Thanks Drew!
