    It has been just over 6 months since we, here in Texas, were placed on a stay-home order. Over the last few weeks, schools have resumed in person learning and sporting activities are officially on. Does this mean we are starting to get back to normal?!?! As we are moving around a more and more these days, aside from sports, what other extracurricular activities open for business?     What the "-ish"?

    In recent years, the term Ish has often been added to the end of a word to slightly change the meaning of said word. Some examples of this are: Grown-ish, Fit-ish, Mixed-ish, Adult-ish, Thick-ish, etc... The list can go on and on. As a slight continuation with variation from the previous episode (if you have not listened yet, you should), Today's episode is all about an -ish that has become more familiar and quite possibly can even be credited with the "-ish" movement - Black-ish.     WPS?!

    In a world full of diversity, there are some things that are said to divide us - not in the super negative racists sort of way. But instead, in a host of activities that some people do and others do not. So much so,  that it has gained its own descriptor of "White People Sh!t". Many people of color are familiar with this term and have used it a time or a thousand. For those of you that are not familiar with the term, the definition offered by Urban Dictionary is as follows: Some dumba$$ $h!t that White people do.     Back to school

    In my best Four Tops voice {We've got to go back, back, back to school again} from Grease 2. What used to be the most wonderful time of the year for parents has become a time of concern, confusion, and con-headache?! In the majority of the states, school has resumed in some fashion. We have seen some schools go all in with all students returning to campus at one time, some schools go all virtual with all students starting at home, and some schools with a combination of virtual and face to face instruction at the choice of the parents. Virtual learning and Face to Face instruction both have their good and not so good qualities.     Do you know what you don't know?

    Every day, we make a ton of decisions. These decisions are often made in response to a questions being asked. When a question is asked, it is often does so with the expectation of a response. Many times, the response is "I don't know". How likely are you to respond in this manner? When you respond in this manner, do you truly not know? How do you like receiving this answer as a response to your question? What happens when you really don't know something? Do you say that you don't know, or do you come up with something off the cuff? If you're considered to be an expert, is it okay to respond with "I don't know"?
