On Air from Inwood Art Works is a hyper-local podcast where we meet film, stage, music, visual artists and writers from Inwood NYC and its neighboring communities of Marble Hill, Riverdale, Kingsbridge, and Washington Heights. The programming consists of two featured segments: Artist Spotlight and Live N’ Local. In Artist Spotlight segments they tell the stories of Inwood artists and creators recorded at beloved local haunts in the community, like Indian Road Cafe, Amore Cafe, Republica, etc. In Live N’ Local segments they interview Inwood musicians and provide an intimate platform to feature a live showcase of their work.

Inwood is a quaint neighborhood on the northern tip of Manhattan. Over the past several years, Aaron Simms and his team have run a nonprofit called Inwood Art Works, which has helped support artists of all kinds in showcasing their work. Inwood Art Works has helped Inwood become a new artistic hub in New York City. This podcast continues to highlight the incredible artist community that Inwood truly is.
