    Klotho Gene Therapy - The Queen of Anti Aging Proteins?

    Klotho has been called the “King of anti-aging proteins.” It holds promise for Chronic Kidney Disease, Alzheimer’s, and other forms of dementia, and for mitigating inflammation.  Since it was named after Clotho, a Greek Fate (and all three Fates were women), we think it’s more appropriate to call her the queen. Either way, Klotho is royalty in regenerative medicine.  Klotho Gene Therapy    The expression of this gene results in the production of Klotho protein, which protects our vascular system (arteries and veins) from mineral deposits. Such deposits are harmful because they lead to what is known as “calcification” of our vascular system, a significant reason for death in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease or CKD.
