The Rosary Network Inc. is a New York-based non-profit initiative started on March 21, 2020, by the Spanish American entrepreneur Mikel Amigot and his wife, María Blanca. Our mission is to extend to the world the devotion of daily reciting the Rosary. The Rosary is a gift from the Immaculate Conception for our sanctification. María Blanca, who went up to the Father on October 28, 2021, after a life in holiness, intercedes for the community of the Rosary Network and patients with advanced cancer and at ICUs.

    February 10, 2025, Memorial of St. Scholastica, Virgin, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries)

    Friends of the Rosary, Today, February 10, the Catholic Church honors St. Scholastica (480-547), a nun who was the twin sister of St. Benedict, the “father of monasticism” in Western Europe. The twins’ mother died at their birth, around 480, in Umbria, Italy, Under Benedict’s direction, Scholastica founded a community of nuns near the great Benedictine monastery Monte Cassino. Inspired by Benedict’s teaching, his sister devoted her life to seeking and serving God. Both dedicated themselves to God from early youth.     Friends of the Rosary, Today, the Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time, in our central reading of the Gospel (Luke 5:1-11), we see Jesus in the Lake of Gennesaret climbing into Peter's boat without asking permission. Jesus said to Simon,"Do not be afraid;from now on, you will be catching men." "This represents something of an enormous moment: the invasion of grace," explains Bishop Barron. "Though God respects our relative independence, he is not the least bit content to leave us in a “natural” state. Instead, he wants to live in us, to become the Lord of our lives, moving into our minds, wills, bodies, imaginations, nerves, and bones." "This commandeering of nature by grace does not involve the compromising of nature but rather its perfection and elevation. When Jesus moves into the house of the soul, the powers of the soul are heightened and properly directed; when Jesus commands the boat of the natural human life, that life is preserved, strengthened, and given a new orientation." This is signaled symbolically by the Lord’s directive to put out into the deep water. On our own, we can know and will within a very narrow range, seeking those goods and truths that appear within the horizon of our natural consciousness, When grace invades us, our natural consciousness understands that we all are made for perfection.     Friends of the Rosary, Today, the First Friday of the month, the Roman Catholic Church commemorates Blessed Pius IX (1792-1878). Pius IX [in the picture] defined the dogma of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on December 8, 1854.He also celebrated the First Vatican Council from 1869 to 1870, representing the dogma of papal infallibility. The Immaculate Conception doctrine reveals that Mary was conceived without original sin from the first moment of her existence. It emphasizes Mary's unique role in salvation history as the pure and sinless mother of Jesus Christ. The papal bullIneffabilis Deus stated: "We declare, pronounce, and define that the doctrine which holds that the most Blessed Virgin Mary, in the first instance of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege granted by Almighty God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race, was preserved free from all stain of original sin, is a doctrine revealed by God and therefore to be firmly and constantly believed by all the faithful."     Friends of the Rosary, In a recent reflection, Pope Francis emphasized how Jesus Christ reveals the ultimate criterion by which all history is judged: love. "Whoever loves lives, whoever hates dies," the pope told pilgrims gathered in St. Peter’s Square on Feb. 2, the feast of the Presentation of the Lord. "God is present among his people; he lives as a man among men." Jesus embodies universal salvation, an awe-inspiring truth emphasizing that God’s redemptive love is fully embodied in one person. Today is also the Memorial of St. Paul Miki, a Japanese Jesuit, and his twenty-five companions (d. 1597), the first East Asian martyrs to be canonized. They were martyred in Nagasaki, Japan, by being raised on crosses and then stabbed with spears. Their executioners were astounded upon seeing their joy at being associated with the Passion of Christ.     February 5, 2025, Memorial of St. Agatha, Virgin and Martyr, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries)

    Friends of the Rosary, Today, the Catholic Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Agatha (d. 250), who died to defend her purity, in Catania, Sicily. Since ancient times, Agatha’s virginal martyrdom has been commemorated on this date. Her purity and innocence commended her to young women in the Middle Ages, who frequently invoked her alongside the virgins Agnes and Lucy. In his 1994 letter to children, Saint John Paul II offered her as a saintly example for young people. After Quintanus, the governor of Sicily, tried in vain to force her to consent to sin, she was imprisoned. Quintanus turned from sensuality to cruelty and had her breasts cut off, but that night, Agatha was healed by St. Peter. She was then rolled over sharp stones and burning coals and finally taken to prison, where she died while praying. St. Agatha is one of seven women martyrs listed in the Roman Canon of the Mass: Saints Felicity, Perpetual, Agatha, Lucy, Agnes, Cecilia, and Anastasia. Ave Maria! Jesus, I Trust In You!     February 3, 2025, Feast of St. Blaise, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries)

    Friends of the Rosary, Today, February 3rd, the Catholic Church honors two saints: Blaise and Ansgar. The fourth-century saint Blaise (or Blase) was a physician and Bishop of Sebaste in Armenia. He is widely venerated due to many cures attributed to him, especially illnesses of the throat, and notably that of a child who was suffocating through a fishbone. Blaise, who also had a reputation for curing sick and wounded animals, was martyred about the year 320. St. Blaise is included in the list of Fourteen Holy Helpers. On this day, in honor of St. Blaise, the Church gives the faithful a "Blessing of the Throats" with two candles tied together with a red ribbon to form a cross. The priest or deacon places the candles around the throat of whoever seeks the blessing, using the formula: "Through the intercession of St. Blaise, bishop, and martyr, may God deliver you free from every disease of the throat and from every other disease.
