The Rosary Network Inc. is a New York-based non-profit initiative started on March 21, 2020, by the Spanish American entrepreneur Mikel Amigot and his wife, María Blanca. Our mission is to extend to the world the devotion of daily reciting the Rosary. The Rosary is a gift from the Immaculate Conception for our sanctification. María Blanca, who went up to the Father on October 28, 2021, after a life in holiness, intercedes for the community of the Rosary Network and patients with advanced cancer and at ICUs.

    December 13, 2024, Feast of St. Lucy, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries)

    Friends of the Rosary, Today, December 13, the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of St. Lucy (283-304), the famous Sicilian martyr venerated since ancient times. Born and died in Syracuse, Sicily, Lucy (or Lucia) made a vow of virginity and distributed her wealth to the poor. With the help of the Holy Spirit, she stood immovable in her virginity. After torture, which included taking out her eyes, a fire was then built around her, but again, God protected her. She was finally put to death by the sword. Today’s feast can easily be harmonized with Advent themes, as this saint is a living symbol of light amid darkness and typifies the Church and the soul now preparing their bridal robes for a Christmas marriage.     December 12, 2024, Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries)

    Friends of the Rosary, Today, December 12, the Catholic Church in the USA celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In December 1531, Our Lady appeared three times to a Chichimeca Indian convert named Juan Diego, requesting that a church be built on Tepeyac Hill, near Mexico City. Unable to convince the bishop and busy caring for his sick uncle, Juan missed a fourth meeting with the Blessed Virgin. Mary intercepted him the next day, saying: “Am I not here, your Mother? Are you not under my protection? Am I not your health? What else do you wish?” Our Lady instructed Juan to gather roses for the bishop in his cloak. When the roses tumbled out, a miraculous image appeared. She left a marvelous portrait of herself on Juan Diego’s mantle. This image has proven ageless and is kept in the shrine built in her honor, the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The Virgin also appeared to Juan’s uncle, healing him and revealing herself as the “Holy Mary of Guadalupe.” In 1910, Our Lady of Guadalupe was declared the Patroness of Latin America.     December 10, 2024, Memorial of Our Lady of Loreto, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries)

    Friends of the Rosary, Today, December 9, we celebrate the Memorial of Our Lady of Loreto. This title refers to the house where Mary was born in Nazareth, where the Word was made flesh at the Annunciation. Tradition says that a group of angels miraculously transported the Holy House first to Loreto, on the Adriatic Sea coast of Italy, at the end of the thirteenth century. The shrine of Loreto has been known as a Marian center for centuries. By the 14th century, this shrine in Loreto was one of the most famous shrines to Our Lady in Europe. The Shrine of Loreto has always been highly regarded by Popes, and it is under their direct authority and protection.     December 9, 2024, Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries)

    Friends of the Rosary, Today, December 9, the Church celebrates the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. This Catholic dogma states the Virgin Mary was free from original sin from the moment she was conceived in St. Ann's womb. God granted Mary this special grace and privilege to preserve her from any stain and prepare her for her role as the Mother of Christ. Mary, full of grace through God, was redeemed from her conception. The doctrine, one of the four Marian dogmas of the Catholic Church, was proclaimed by Blessed Pope Pius IX on December 8, 1854: "The most Blessed Virgin Mary was, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God and by virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of the human race, preserved immune from all stain of original sin." As we prepare to celebrate the nativity of Christ, in our journey of Advent, we read about John the Baptist's call to conversion. It is a pressing invitation to open our hearts and to welcome the Son of God Who comes among us. Pope Benedict XVI explained, "Through the Gospel, John the Baptist continues to speak down the centuries to each generation. His hard, clear words bring health to us, the men and women of this day, and even the experience and perception of Christmas often, unfortunately, reflect materialist attitudes." "The 'voice' of the great prophet asks us to prepare the way for the coming Lord in the deserts of today, internal and external deserts, thirsting for the water of life which is Christ."     December 7, 2024, Memorial of St. Ambrose, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries)

    Friends of the Rosary, Today, December 7, the first Saturday of the month, the Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Ambrose (340-397), who proclaimed the coming of Christ, the long-awaited Savior, in troubled times not so different from our own. At that time, people were abandoning the true faith for falsified concepts of Christ. But Ambrose remained steadfast, teaching fidelity by words and action. He studied in Rome and later became governor of Liguria and Aemelia, with a residence in Milan. In 374, while supervising the election of a new bishop of Milan, he was suddenly acclaimed as the bishop. He was only a catechumen at the time, but he was ordained a priest and consecrated a bishop on December 7. He wrote extensively on the Scriptures and Fathers, opposed the heretics, and was instrumental in converting St. Augustine. He also composed many hymns and promoted sacred chant. His was wholly rooted in mystery and sacrament. We can profit greatly by reading Ambrose's works. He is one of the four great Latin Doctors of the Church. Ave Maria! Jesus, I Trust In You!     December 6, 2024, Memorial of St. Nicholas of Myra, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries)

    Friends of the Rosary, Today, December 6, the Church celebrates the memorial of St. Nicholas of Myra (d. 346), also known as Santa Claus, one of the most popular saints in the Western world and considered the patron saint of children. St. Nicholas was a 4th-century bishop born in Lycia in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey). He was known for his mercy and charity toward the poor and disadvantaged and for tirelessly defending the faith. In the U.S., the story of St. Nicholas was brought as Santa Claus by Dutch Protestants in a distorted fashion, as a magician and wonder-worker. Our present-day conception of the saint has grown from this version. He is portrayed as a jolly, rotund, white-bearded man from the North Pole who brings happiness to small children with promises of gifts on Christmas Eve. We Catholics should think of Nicholas as a saint, a confessor of the faith, and the bishop of Myra. (Today’s Rosary is prayed from Manhattan.) Ave Maria! Jesus, I Trust In You!
