Letters to Hozier

Every episode of this podcast has felt like a punch to the face and I mean that in the best way possible. It is impossible not to feel and yes sometimes hurt after listening but there’s also such a pure feeling to those emotions that it has an almost baptismal effect. Everything feels momentarily cleansed and I can breathe again. I doubt I’m making much sense but I am grateful to you both.

I am not sure what existential, artistic part of me this reached as I listened to the first episode at 1am in anxiety driven insomnia, but it was grabbed. The part of my brain that this touched is clearly not often activated, because I feel an odd sense of longing after listening? Peaceful, yet strangely unnerved. This was like being a part of a ritual you don’t understand, but you know something has changed.
