Dying Breeds

This is podcast perfection: funny, moving, as rich in character as it is contact. You’ll laugh out loud, but, more important, you’ll be moved by its gentle heart. All great comedy works by playing with expectation; the creators of DYING BREEDS use nostalgia for a twentieth century Britain to make a an argument for the virtues of the ethnically and racially diverse country that (arguably) prospered pre-Brexit— a patchwork kingdom united by a culture that’s been enriched, not lost. Gervaise Sereen, our show’s “host,” is a brilliant satirical creation. You’ll want to invite him over to tea and then, out of pity, hire him a high-end prostitute. Let’s hope British comedy is a breed that never dies.
