    so much chemistry… zero compatibility

sometimes the chemistry is real… and the relationship still doesn’t work. 🫠 in this episode, we’re talking about the difference between chemistry and compatibility —and why an amazing beginning doesn’t necessarily mean two people have the capacity to build a sustainable relationship together. because eventually, real life shows up. you have needs. you disagree. boundaries appear. someone gets hurt. and suddenly you’re wondering, “where did that person go?” we’re talking about relational capacity, mixed signals, and the question that changed the way i look at relationships — because chemistry can tell you how someone makes you feel. compatibility tells you how you actually function together in real life. 💜carmen 💌 dig this episode? please consider leaving a review on apple podcasts, spotify, or wherever you’re listening from. it helps us get in front of others who are looking for what we’re about! plus, i always love reading your words of support! 🤍thank you! 💬 join the discussion at: https://lovecarmenxo.substack.com/p/so-much-chemistry-zero-compatibility 🎧 download on apple podcasts | spotify✨ let’s connect on insta | tiktok | fb📺 coming soon to youtube unhinge responsibly™ occasional meltdowns are allowed. driving while activated is strongly discouraged. possible side effects include: ugly crying, rapid pacing, rage-cleaning, sending a 14-paragraph message, and temporarily believing the chaos in your head is as big as the whole universe. for best results: regulate first. decide later. how bad is bad enough?

have you ever found yourself wondering… “how much more of this am i supposed to take?” like… is this bad enough to say something? bad enough to leave the room, the relationship, the friendship? bad enough to stop adjusting myself around someone else’s mood? bad enough to stop tolerating all the hurt they “didn’t mean” to cause? because i did this all the time. i had this invisible limit in my head for what i considered “bad enough” — and as long as things hadn’t reached that line, i’d just get upset, wait for the other person to change, and keep going. in this episode, let’s untangle why we sometimes wait until we’re completely overwhelmed before we give ourselves permission to respond, set a boundary, or make a different choice. i’ll share what i’ve learned about the difference between enduring and regulating, why waiting until you’re at your breaking point can leave you with fewer choices, and how learning to recognize your own baseline can help you trust yourself sooner. 💜carmen --- 💌 here’s the letter i’m talking about: https://lovecarmenxo.substack.com/p/you-dont-need-it-to-be-bad-enough --- 🫶🏼 dig this episode? please consider leaving a review on apple podcasts, spotify, or wherever you’re listening from. it helps us get in front of others who are looking for what we’re about! plus, i always love reading your words of support! 🤍thank you! --- 💬 join the discussion at: https://lovecarmenxo.substack.com/p/how-bad-is-bad-enough 🎧 download on apple podcasts | spotify ✨ let’s connect on insta | tiktok | fb 📺 coming soon to youtube --- unhinge responsibly™ occasional meltdowns are allowed. driving while activated is strongly discouraged. possible side effects include: ugly crying, rapid pacing, rage-cleaning, sending a 14-paragraph message, and temporarily believing the chaos in your head is as big as the whole universe. for best results: regulate first. decide later. real quick...

you’re doing the work. you’re learning the patterns.. you’ve read all the books and watched every video, and it’s starting to feel like you’ve been healing — forever. if you’ve asked yourself: “where’s the finish line? when does my amazing new life actually begin?” this — is for you! i’m carmen… host of real quick… the podcast where we talk about the everyday reality of what healing actually looks like, while you’re still in the middle of it. * we’ll celebrate the highs: for things like, “wow... i love how i handled that!” * we’ll definitely talk about the lows: when you’re wondering, “am i even doing this right?” * and we’ll spend time in the middle — where nothing feels different… everything feels ordinary, but i’ll show you how to spot the signs that something is most definitely changing underneath the surface. here, i’m turning down the volume on my coaching voice, and sharing how i practice what i teach in my own life — including the spirals, overthinking, emotional flooding, and what i do to re-stabilize myself. think of this like a support group for recovering people pleasers and serial emotional pain tolerators. a space where you can feel understood, not judged, and less alone. i’ll meet you here every thursday. 💜 carmen --- 🎧 download on apple podcasts | spotify ✨ let’s connect on insta | tiktok | fb 📺 coming soon to youtube Get full access to love, carmen at lovecarmenxo.substack.com/subscribe
