Where Science Meets Spirit: Where Are You on the Woo Scale?

"You don't have to be woo-woo to be an intuitive genius. You heard me!" Mellissa Seaman on the Woo Scale, intuitive genius, and why translation may be the real leadership skill when you're trying to bridge mystery and real life. You might be analytical, professional, grounded, and still deeply intuitive. Maybe your knowing comes through as a gut feeling. Maybe it shows up as a creative download. Maybe you "just know" something before the spreadsheet catches up. Or maybe you're full-on spirit guides, angels, soul mission, blue flame, and crystal programming. Dude. Whatever. We don't have perfect words for any of this stuff anyway. In this episode, Mellissa talks about the Woo Scale, a playful way to understand how people translate mystery. Some people speak fluent woo. Some people speak instinct, experience, and "weird stuff happening." The Woo Scale isn't here to rank who's more spiritual. It's about talking about the deep stuff in language the person in front of you can actually receive. Because eventually, intuitive knowing has to land somewhere real. In the product line. The timing. The sales conversation. The hiring decision. The next right move. So where do you fall on the Woo Scale? And how fluent are you with folks at either end?   In this episode: Why non-woo people can still be deeply intuitive, even when their language sounds more like instinct, flow state, or professional discernment How the Woo Scale helps intuitive leaders translate mystery without making people perform belief Why Mellissa loves the middle of the Woo Scale, where mystical wisdom and real-world results can both have a say If you're learning to trust your intuitive genius without giving up your intelligence, your credibility, or your professional language, you'll like this one.   Resources: Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore  Connect with Mellissa: Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com  Keywords: intuitive genius, grounded intuition, intuitive leadership, Woo Scale, integrating intuition, spiritual gifts and credibility, intuitive professional, business intuition, Channel Your Genius, spiritual awakening for professionals

Meet Your Contributor: The Archetype Behind Burnout vs. Joyful Action

"Work. Ugh. Don't you kind of hate that word?" Mellissa Seaman on the Contributor archetype, sacred work, and how action can become fun, rewarding, and soul-satisfying when it comes from the right place in you. Maybe you've had that corporate chapter where you worked really really hard, achieved a lot, and still felt something missing. Then maybe you swung the other way and tried to live in the spirit miracle stuff while hiding under the covers from the work-a-day world. Dude, yes. The split can get weird. In this episode, Mellissa talks about the Contributor archetype, the part of you that moves from joyful service. Your Contributor takes action when your heart is in it, when the timing is right, and when the work actually fits your soul gifts and natural expertise. Because mindset work only gets you so far. At some point, you put your money where your mouth is. You put your time where your values are. You put your shoulder to it with glee, and show your spirit guides you're serious about co-creating some cool stuff in this world. What if Action itself is Sacred? In this episode: Why spiritually minded people can get weird about work, effort, and action How the Contributor archetype helps you find your sweet spot of contribution Why your soul gifts, right role, and natural expertise matter when you want work that feels like purpose instead of punishment If you're ready to stop acting like the trapped resentful worker or the avoidant bypassing manifester, you'll like this one. What's Actually Missing From Retreats That Don't Land

"If people don't feel safe, they can't really listen." *** Mellissa Seaman on the missing role in great group events: the Guardian. Have you ever been in a group experience that should have worked, but somehow didn't? Good people. Decent agenda. Maybe a smart person up front with a microphone. And still, the room feels dead. Or weird. Or unsafe in a way nobody names. People get distracted, suddenly very interested in when the bathroom break is coming or why someone keeps blowing their nose so loudly in the middle of the deep thing. Much of that magic, when a group is held well, is guardianship. Or the lack thereof. Mellissa first learned the secret art of being a Guardian as a teenager at her Catholic high school, helping lead Teens Encounter Christ retreats. Her job was to sit at a round table with a group of students and help them feel safe, included, and contained enough to actually participate. Years later, after she met her Apache mama and mentor, Maria Yraceburu, the importance of this role got driven home in a much deeper way. Maria explained that in her family, the Guardian was one of the most important roles in ceremony. The Guardian holds the vessel of the group secure, makes sure people have what they need, and helps everyone feel belonging and connection, so the group can relax inside the experience. It can sound trivial, like worrying about the bathroom or the snack table. But under the logistics is the energetic message: I've got you. You can relax. You don't have to stay vigilant about whether your basic needs will be met while someone else is trying to transform your life from the stage.   In this episode: Why a room can feel dead, weird, or unsafe even when the agenda looks fine What Mellissa learned as a teenage Guardian at retreat tables How Maria Yraceburu named the Guardian as one of the most important roles in ceremony Why bathroom breaks, snack tables, and basic needs are part of the energetic container How the person quietly tracking the room may be the reason the whole thing works Why teachers, facilitators, and people with the microphone cannot hold every role at once If you lead groups, teach, facilitate, host retreats, or quietly notice the person who has gone silent, this one may help you name the sacred labor that has probably been hiding in plain sight.   Resources Mentioned Private retreats with Mellissa: https://channelyourgenius.com/2026-retreats   More Resources:  Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com   Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore     Connect with Mellissa Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea    YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius    Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com   Keywords Intuitive gifts, spiritual gifts, Soul Gifts, Specialist archetype, Channel Your Genius, Genius Activation, grounded intuition, soul-led business, intuitive leadership, spiritual awakening at midlife

The Hidden Energy Crisis Behind Every Powerful Abuser

"Explanation does not equal excuse." ******* Mellissa Seaman on projection load, ego fluffery, and what happens when visibility, wealth, fame, or influence are not stewarded with grounding, humility, and real accountability. A lot has been revealed about dark power being used in the upper echelons of the old boys' club. It is shocking and gross to learn what has been happening under the cover of darkness. But is it surprising? Not really. And before anyone starts wriggling in their seat, explanation does not equal excuse. No excuse for abusing kids, terrorizing people, or taking from people who trusted you. This episode is about the energetic reason these patterns keep showing up around distorted power, without using that explanation to excuse harm. One of the terms Mellissa uses for this is projection load. When people become highly visible, others may adore them, hate them, want them, resent them, worship them, criticize them, and imagine them into roles they never agreed to hold. All of that carries energy. It lands in their field. With grounded support, someone can come back to center, wisdom, and integrity. Without it, they can start believing the projection, relaxing into the fluffed ego, and feeling bigger than life. That is where the hunger can take over.   In this episode: What projection load is, and why it affects leaders, celebrities, and influential people How hero worship, criticism, and ego fluffery can distort someone's field Why explanation does not equal excuse when talking about abuse or distorted power How tiny playground power games show the early mechanics of energetic feeding Why leaders need truth-talking friends, mentors, therapists, partners, or someone they respect How grounded support can help people come back to Earth before projection turns into harm If you hold visibility, influence, clients, or people's trust, this one is about learning to steward what is coming at you without letting it puff up your ego, overwhelm your field, or convince you that accountability no longer applies.   More Resources:  Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com   Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore     Connect with Mellissa Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea    YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius    Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com   Keywords Intuitive gifts, spiritual gifts, Soul Gifts, Specialist archetype, Channel Your Genius, Genius Activation, grounded intuition, soul-led business, intuitive leadership, spiritual awakening at midlife

64 Senses: Indigenous Energy Healing Mapping with Maria Yraceburu

"Life is supposed to be challenging, but it is not supposed to be stressful." - Ten Bears, Maria's great-grandfather *** Mellissa Seaman on sensory intelligence, subtle sensation, and what she learned from her Apache teacher, Maria Yraceburu, about the body's language. Tingles up your spine. A sick feeling in your gut. Sparkles at the edges of your vision. They mean three different things. But no one taught us in grad school how to translate subtle sensations. Honestly, even most intuitive training systems can't tell you the difference. When Mellissa met Maria, she finally met a teacher who knew the difference. Maria learned the map of the eight atmospheric layers of the energy body when she was still a kid. Growing up on the White Mountains Reservation, she practiced using all eight sensory layers to track and hunt rabbits. She sat with her great-grandfather, who used the eight sensory layers of the art of Ya'Odishido, sensual telepathy, as part of everyday life. A lot of us have general tags for this stuff. My intuition says this. My gut says that. But what am I actually feeling? This one's about sensory intelligence, instinct as the body's language, and the way subtle sensations can carry information before the mind has words. Maria talks about the difference between intellect, intuition, and instinct. She keeps correcting how most of us collapse instinct into fight-or-flight. Nope. Instinct is primal, often subtle, sensation. And in a world where we think every pain or pinch or tension is "wrong," Maria's suggestion is a real turnaround: Don't run from your sensations. Find out what they mean.   In this episode: Why tingles, gut feelings, and sparkles at the edge of your vision may mean different things What Maria teaches about the eight atmospheric layers and Ya'Odishido Why instinct is the body's language, not just fight-or-flight How subtle sensation can help with real decisions involving money, calendars, and people Why the land is part of the conversation How "I don't know. Show me what I need to know" becomes the starting place If you are sensitive enough to feel the room, the client, the decision, and the stress-frequency of the humans around you, this one will help you stop dumping every sensation into one overwhelmed pile.    More Resources:  Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com   Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore     Connect with Mellissa Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea    YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius    Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com   Keywords Intuitive gifts, spiritual gifts, Soul Gifts, Specialist archetype, Channel Your Genius, Genius Activation, grounded intuition, soul-led business, intuitive leadership, spiritual awakening at midlife

Your Real Specialty Was Never Your Résumé

"What do I make you feel that other people don't?" *** Mellissa Seaman on why your real specialty was never your résumé, and why the thing that makes you valuable may be much deeper than the degree, title, or impressive thing people keep praising. A lot of us got trained to think we were special because we fit the dumb-ass rubrics of what "special" was supposed to mean. Straight As. Good pictures. The right credentials. Somebody in authority patting us on the head. And look, the accomplishments are real. Nobody's dissing awesome achievements! Mellissa was a Stanford-educated lawyer before her big accidental awakening, before she fell into the gifts that made her an energy healer, seer, and guide for people. She didn't think any of this woo was real until it happened to her. But the law degree was not the real specialty. The real specialty was something underneath all of it. Something intrinsic. Something she had been emanating the whole time. This episode is about the Specialist archetype, the part of you that already knows you're weird. Not impressive-special. Intrinsic-special. The part of you willing to be only what you actually are. And yes, for some of us, that question gets louder in midlife. The crisis, the divorce, the physical challenge, the everyday nervous freakin breakdown, or the menopause "So what?" starts cutting through the old gold-star system. So what that I got the degree? So what that I built the résumé? What is true now?   In this episode, you'll find: Why your real specialty may be more about what you emanate than what you were trained to do How the Specialist archetype helps you recognize your intrinsic gifts without making them generic Why the people closest to you may see your essential juju more clearly than you do How to ask the people who love you what they receive from you when you are not trying to be useful Why your freakazoid self may be the doorway to clearer service, business, and genius If you are a grounded intuitive leader, spiritual entrepreneur, or high-achieving woman wondering whether your real gifts are hiding underneath the impressive thing, this one will help you listen differently.   More Resources:  Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com   Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore     Connect with Mellissa Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea    YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius    Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com   Keywords Intuitive gifts, spiritual gifts, Soul Gifts, Specialist archetype, Channel Your Genius, Genius Activation, grounded intuition, soul-led business, intuitive leadership, spiritual awakening at midlife

What Energy Healing Really Feels Like

"In collaboration with this beautiful earth and serendipity and the flow of things, there we are powerful."  *** Mellissa Seaman on what happens when your best leadership looks like "doing nothing" and why that's not what it actually is. Mellissa shares a private retreat moment where she was holding a profound energetic clearing and kept thinking, "I'm doing nothing." Helpful little lawyer brain, right? But the guidance was clear: Hold the door open. This conversation is for intuitive leaders who know what it feels like to prepare deeply, bring the framework, show up, and then realize something deeper than your plan is asking to move through the room. When that happens, do you grip harder, start role playing expert, or stay clear enough to let the real work arrive? Mellissa explores why effort can become interference, why preparation still matters, how powerful clients and big money can mess with your channel, and why grounded intuitive leadership requires both skill and active receptivity. She calls this Channeling Your Genius (it's why she named her business that). Your best stuff comes through when you've done the preparation, the inner work, the mentorship — and then you get out of the way.   In this episode: How "doing nothing" can actually be your deepest leadership Why effort turns into interference when the stakes get high What Channeling Your Genius looks like in client work, healing, strategy, and leadership How to recognize when the situation needs something deeper than your plan Why preparation, your own inner work, and body awareness matter when you hold a powerful field How money, status, and powerful clients can mess with your channel if you contract or start performing Why the best leadership helps people feel clearer, calmer, and more rooted in their own knowing If you're ready to open your channel and let your best stuff flow through you more effortlessly, you'll like this one.    Resources Mentioned: Private retreats with Mellissa: https://channelyourgenius.com/2026-retreats   More Resources:  Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com   Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore     Connect with Mellissa: Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea    YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius    Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com   Keywords: intuitive business leadership, grounded intuitive leadership, Channeling Your Genius, intuitive leadership, co-creation, spiritual leadership, energy healing, client work, spiritual entrepreneur, leadership development

The Spiritual Intelligence Behind Powerful Leadership

"Power gets smarter when it remembers the web." *** If success has started feeling like you're doing it all yourself and wondering why it's so exhausting, this episode is for you. Mellissa explores the archetype of the Co-Creator, the part of any intuitive leader that knows how to leverage connection with timing, guidance, body wisdom, and plain old human support to create the miracles we envision.  We are trained to be a one-man-band. One brilliant person has the vision, works like a maniac, overcomes the odds, and arrives at the top looking impressively self-made. Nice fantasy, Superwoman. That's not how it works. In this episode, Mellissa talks about the constellations that actually make the good stuff happen in your life: the introduction someone made, the intuitive hit you almost dismissed, the prayer you kept private, the body signal that you honored, and the perfect timing you could never have engineered on your google calendar. This is a conversation about grounded intuitive leadership, co-creation, and what happens when you weave energies instead of pushing your agenda. You don't have to lead alone. You were never meant to.   In this episode: Why the "self-made" success story is a lie What Co-Creator power looks like in intuitive business leadership How timing, relationships, prayer, and body wisdom actually participate in what you build Why so many high-achieving leaders get tired of carrying the weight of the world alone What grounded intuitive leadership brings into the room that the old model kept out Why the old boss-centered origin story is a dying falsity If you've been trying to muscle your next level alone, this episode might help you remember the web that's been helping all along, so you can make this next jump with connection and ease.   More Resources:  Take the Soul Gift Quiz: https://www.soulgiftquiz.com   Join the FREE Explore Your Gifts Circle: https://academy.channelyourgenius.com/explore     Connect with Mellissa Website: https://www.channelyourgenius.com   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/MellissaSea    YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@channelyourgenius    Substack: mellissaseaman.substack.com   Keywords intuitive business leadership, grounded intuitive leadership, Co-Creator, intuitive leadership, co-creation, spiritual leadership, intuition in business decisions, body wisdom, soul-led business, collaboration, leadership development
