Are we Expecting Too Much From our Friends?

Are we expecting too much from our friends, or have we gotten so used to saying “don’t expect anything from anybody” that we’ve started accepting the bare minimum? In this episode of She Talks with Cheddar, we’re talking about adult friendships, effort, reciprocity, matching energy, and learning when to adjust our expectations without becoming bitter. Because sometimes, you don’t have to fall out with someone. You just have to accept the friendship for what it is. Have you ever had to adjust your expectations of a friendship?

I Think I’ve Changed my Mind About Friendship

Have you ever looked back at something you strongly believed in years ago and realised you don’t feel the same way anymore? In this episode of She Talks, we’re talking about friendship, changing perspectives, and how growing up can change the way we see the people in our lives. Sometimes, it’s not that we were wrong before. We’ve simply grown, experienced new things, and started seeing life differently.

The Art of Being an Adult

At what point do you actually start feeling like an adult? Is it paying bills? Making decisions on your own? Getting excited about things you never thought you’d care about? Or simply realising that nobody really has life figured out? In this episode of She Talks, I sat down with her husband for a conversation about the random, funny and sometimes unexpected things that come with being an adult, the little moments that make you pause and think, “Wow… we’re really grown now.” Because maybe being an adult isn’t about having everything figured out. Maybe it’s just learning how to figure things out as you go.

What If You’re Not Actually Behind?

What if your life isn’t behind… it’s just taking a different route? In this episode, we’re taking the conversation a little further. We’ll talk about waiting, changing priorities, the timelines we once created for ourselves, and the possibility that some of the things we’re chasing are things we don’t even want anymore, we just feel like we should have them by now. I’ll also share a little piece of my own NYSC story and how something I waited years for eventually became connected to a completely different chapter of my life. Because maybe instead of asking, “Why am I not there yet?”, we need to start asking, “Where am I actually trying to go?”

Make Lemonade Out of Lemons

I don’t know who needs this reminder, but if life throws you lemons, maybe it’s time to make lemonade. Not everything that happens will make sense immediately, but that doesn’t mean something good can’t still come out of it.

Am I Actually Behind?

Have you ever looked at your life and thought, “Wait… I thought I’d be further by now?” Sometimes comparison isn’t even about another person. It’s about the version of ourselves we thought we would become by this age. In this episode of She Talks, we’re talking about those imaginary timelines we create for our lives, the career, marriage, money, home, family and milestones we thought would have happened by now. Because you can be grateful for where you are and still wonder when your own turn is coming. Maybe the question isn’t just “Why am I behind?” Maybe we need to ask, “Behind who?”

I don’t know who needs this reminder, but you can start over without announcing it to everybody.

You don’t have to make a big announcement. You don’t have to explain why the old plan didn’t work. You can quietly change direction. Take another course. Apply for another job. Start the business. Rebuild the page. Try again. And one day, people will just notice that you’re doing something different. Yes. I started again.

COMPARISON CULTURE

Why does it sometimes feel like everyone has their life together except you? In this episode of She Talks, we’re talking about comparison culture, the very human habit of looking at other people’s lives and quietly questioning our own. From social media and other people’s milestones to the pressure to feel like we’re doing “enough,” we’re unpacking what comparison really does to us and why it can be so easy to forget that we’re only seeing a small part of someone else’s story. Come sit with me as we talk about comparison, the timelines we create for ourselves, and learning to come back to your own lane.
