Then, when the waiting continues, when the diagnosis hasn't changed, when the relationship still needs healing, when the answer is delayed, you don't conclude that God has abandoned you.

    Healing isn’t always as simple as treating or praying for a symptom. Sometimes, Jesus is restoring something deeper. We need to understand that people aren’t made up of disconnected and unrelated parts. We were created by God to be amazingly integrated beings. As Christians, we are called to partner with the love and power of Jesus in a broken world. Part of that invitation is to give away what we have received. So this awakening is two-fold – healing for us, and healing through us. In the same way that doctors practice medicine and lawyers practice law, Christians are invited to practice healing. We like to say it this way – What God does in you, He wants to do through you!

    David | Awakened to Life // Mike Yoder

    The awakened life is not the life of someone who never fails. It is the life of someone who keeps returning to Jesus. When the Holy Spirit convicts us, we come into the light. There we discover what David discovered: the mercy of God is greater than our worst failure. Jesus did not save us merely so we could avoid judgment someday. He saved us to awaken us to life with Him right now. This life isn’t about sin avoidance, it’s about SON awareness. The Son of God, Jesus, is where we fix our attention.
