Warfare In Kautilyan Arthasastra : A Discussion That Connects The Ancient With The Medieval

The dominant theme of ancient Indian history is anything but non-violence. The myth of a perfectly peaceful and non-violent society in ancient India was deliberately created by men like Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Nehru during the days of our freedom struggle against the Britsihers. The results haven't been encouraging — the Indian society today is more polarised than ever before. Therefore, we decided to strike at the root of the entire affair — to unravel and decipher what exactly was the religious policy pursued by the Mughals, what shaped it, and how it impacted the subcontinent at large.
