Yellow Brit Road brings you boots-on-the-ground coverage from our favourite Canadian music festival with reviews and updates, and live performances from many of the artists here that also played at Lollapalooza festival over at Chicago this week.     Good afternoon, Canada! The Yellow Brit Road is now on your airwaves in broad daylight: 1 in the afternoon! Join us for our first daytime show, as we throwback to Razorlight's huge 2006 album, which turned 20 last week. We also review Muse's huge comeback album, The Wow! Signal, and seeing them live last week, when they brought their unique live spectacle to Toronto and Quebec City. Also, I managed to get last-minute Angine de Poitrine tickets, and I was delighted with what I witnessed. So of course you'll hear all about it. In the mood for more live music?     Nova Twins interview!

    Nova Twins are your favourite rockstars' favourite rockstars. For close to a decade now, the London rock duo have been changing what it means to make guitar music, conjuring up layered, interesting and innovating new sounds with their army of pedals. While their 2020 debut album, 'Who Are The Girls?' introduced the girls to the world, by the time their second album, the bulletproof 'Supernova' released in 2022, they were conquering Glastonbury, had avid fans in Tom Morello, Muse, Elton John and more. Their third and latest album, 2025's 'Parasites & Butterflies' shows a more vulnerable side to the duo, and finds strength in the vulnerability. Now on their biggest North American tour supporting Evanescence and Spiritbox across amphitheatres, singer-guitarist Amy Love and bass wizard Georgia South joined me at Toronto's RBC Amphitheatre to talk about the album, live shows, Tiny Desk, their visual and musical inspirations and much more.     Yellow Brit Road 12 July 2026: Nova Twins interview, final late night show!

    The final Yellow Brit Road in the Sunday 8 PM slot! Starting from next week, the Yellow Brit Road will move to a daytime radio slot, Thursdays from 1-2:30 PM. This does mean we won't have the post-watershed slot to play explicit music uncensored anymore... so we made the most of it tonight ;) In other parts of the show, we also are also joined by the incredible Nova Twins, who were so kind to do an interview with us when they dropped by Toronto, supporting Evanescence at RBC Amphitheatre on tour a few weeks ago.     Panic Shack interview!

    Cardiff's bubbliest, most energetic and irreverent punk rockers Panic Shack dropped one of my favourite debut albums last year with their self-titled album. Covering lyrical ideas as far ranging as women's trouser pockets, running personal bests, buying toothpaste, eating disorders and working class roots, all with a sense of fierce fun and their tongue firmly in cheek, the album felt like a celebration of life and like a night out in Cardiff put down on tape. It's why even the album cover was shot at the City Arms pub in Cardiff. Now on their first headline tour of North America, singer Sara and bassist Em joined me to talk all things album, blowing up on TikTok, being a working class band at a time it is becoming increasingly harder to do so, Welsh music and so much more!     The Hausplants interview @ NXNE!

    Hailing from Vancouver, The Hausplants are a band with a truly international sound: between singer and bassist Anna Zeleny, guitarist Amir Alav and drummer Sondor Mendbayar, the trio brought in influences from the US, Iran and Mongolia onto the latest EP, Into Equilibrium. A few years ago, Sondor put out a Craigslist ad looking for musicians to form a synthpop band. Zel and Amir were the only people in Vancouver to answer the ad, and a new band was born. By the time we saw the band a few weeks ago at NXNE, their sound had evolved into a complex and layered sound showed notes of jazz, postpunk, prog rock and dreamier shoegaze. We caught up with singer Zel after the band’s incredible NXNE set at Collective Arts Taproom to talk all about the band’s origins, influences, the exploding music scene in British Columbia, filming music videos their complex jazz-postpunk-prog rock-shoegaze sound and their upcoming debut album!
