He arrived on US soil in 1970 after his second Vietnam tour.  Anairborne soldier, he joined the Army reserves as a Special Forces Green Beret. This story takes us back to 1974 and Fisher Island in Miami-Dade. If, in 1974, you had been invited to Fisher Island by a scion of anold-money family, you would have encountered an isolated and somewhat forgotten tropical island beside one of Miami’s busiest shipping channels—part overgrown millionaire’s estate, part marine-research outpost, and part industrial storage site. But what happened in 1974 opened eyes to other possibilities.  . . .  #cubanstoriesonthegreenplantain#susanasbooks #cubanosporelmundo #TheGreenPlantainpodcast#TheCubanStoriesProjectpodcast #Cubanstories #cubanosporelmundo ·cubanstoriesonthegreenplantainpodcast#untostonanyone   #Vivenciascubanas#cubanosenUSA #CubanStories #cubanfamilyroots#cubanstoriesonthegreenplantainpodcast#susanajiménez-mueller#ownvoice❤️ #cubanosenTampabay#cubanosentampa#Specialforcesgreenberets#FisherIsland
