    🏚️ Cast Of The Pod – HOUSE (1985) | Horror, Human Connection, True Crime & June In this episode of Cast Of The Pod, Josh, Deb, and Cantu revisit the 1985 horror/comedy classic House, starring William Katt, George Wendt, Richard Moll, and Kay Lenz. We take another look at this bizarre 1980s horror favorite and ask the question: Does House actually hold up? Is it the creepy, funny horror movie we remember, or has nostalgia been doing some heavy lifting? We talk about Roger Cobb, the haunted house, Big Ben, the disappearance of Roger's son, Vietnam trauma, the strange mixture of horror and comedy, and some of the movie's more memorable—and downright weird—moments. But naturally, the conversation doesn't stay focused on the movie. The discussion turns into a much deeper conversation about human connection and society. In a world where technology allows us to communicate with virtually anyone at any time, are human beings actually becoming more disconnected from one another? Then things take a much darker turn as we discuss Jeffrey Dahmer and the Walsh missing-person tragedy, including the possibility of a connection to the area. There’s just one problem... Deb watched the entire movie. Josh watched the first 17 minutes. Cantu missed the last third. So naturally, we're qualified to review it. We break down The Mimic, talk about its creepy atmosphere, story, characters, scares, and the Korean folklore behind the movie. We also get into what worked, what didn't, and whether The Mimic delivers the kind of unsettling horror that sticks with you after the credits.
