Many barriers exist that can prevent us from seeing the cross clearly. We want to attempt to remove those barriers and share the gospel. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear (1 Peter 3:15). For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

    RBP 228: On the Mission Field with Missionary Courtney Mathos

    Episode 228 Series: On the Mission Field - 27 Courtney Mathos is a missionary to the country of Bolivia and she joins us on the Removing Barriers Podcast to share what God is doing on the field in that country. Bolivia is a largely Catholic country, but there are significant numbers of adherents to other religions and faiths, and many inhabitants practice syncretism with their ancestral religions. As a result, you never know what you're going to encounter when you engage someone for Christ. For Courtney, a love of the Bolivian people and a deep desire to see Christ glorified is the driving force behind her dedicated work there. The Lord called her to the field during a missions internship, after He caused her to see that though she professed faith as a very young child, she was still trusting in her good works to make her righteous before a holy God. Join us as we discover how God is building His church in Bolivia, and what is being done to remove barriers so the Bolivians can have a clear view of the cross.     RBP 223: This World Has Gone Bonkers: ICE, Alex Pretti, and Don Lemon

    Episode 223 Bonkers - 16 In January of 2026, ICU nurse Alex Pretti was killed in a violent confrontation with border patrol agents carrying out their duties in Minneapolis and corporate media pundit turned Youtuber Don Lemon allegedly participated in an anti-ICE protest inside of a church during a service. Pretti, who had been involved in violent encounters with ICE previously, became the new face and martyr of the political left, while others were quick to point out the violent bad-faith tactics of Minneapolis leadership, riot organizers, and Pretti himself. The country found itself in a feverish debate about ICE tactics in a political climate that overwhelming voted a more hardline approach to immigration enforcement. What power does the state have to push back against federal power? How do we handle radicalized protestors? Not to be outdone, Don Lemon filmed himself coordinating with professional protestors planning to disrupt a church service for ties one of the pastors has to ICE. Parishioners were subjected to loud, angry, profanity-laced chants from protestors and Youtubers alike while he weaseled himself from person to person in the name of "journalism", asking questions that basically amounted to "how do you feel about being an evil person who supports ICE?" The stunt shocked Christians everywhere in the nation, raising questions about the role of the church during civil unrest and where the limits are regarding the rights enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.     RBP 222: On the Mission Field with Missionary Will Klassen

    Episode 222 Series: On the Mission Field - 26 On this episode of the Removing Barriers Podcast, we are joined by Will Klassen, missionary to the Mexican Mennonites in Chihuahua, Mexico. Mexican Mennonites, with varying degrees of intensity, are generally isolated from other Mexicans around them, choosing only to fully engage other Mennonites. Will Klassen grew up in Canada in a religious Mennonite household devoid of the pure gospel, but the Lord saved him when he was 19 years old. Subsequently, the Lord called him to minister to the Mennonite people living in Mexico, most of whom descended from Mennonites that migrated there in the 1920s. He has been reaching them for Christ for the last 16 years. His Mennonite heritage makes it possible to reach them with the gospel of Christ where others may not even be able to get a foot in the door. Listen in as he discusses his ministry, some of the challenges in reaching and ministering to the Mennonites, and the amazing things God has been doing on this field. Many barriers exist that can prevent us from seeing the cross clearly. We want to attempt to remove those barriers and share the gospel.
