My name is Sarah Smith and my childhood was just a bit weird. I grew up in a cult in the UK, then at 18 ran away and was excommunicated from almost everyone I knew. Learning to live out in the real world then presented its own challenges. Needless to say, this girl got some issues: anxiety, depression, low self esteem, difficulties trusting, a plethora of chronic medical conditions and some not-so-ideal coping strategies. Since then I've tried my very best to unf*ck myself, and now I want to share with you what has helped me on my journey and bring you along for the ride!

    In this episode I share some of the difficulties I've faced throughout my life trying to "fit in", and how the cost of pretending to be someone you think everyone wants you to be, is having to abandon yourself. I think it's about time we all waved our freak flags; showed each other who we really are; and started living the lives we actually wanted, rather than the lives we think others want for us :)

    Ep 1. Learn to Forgive and Take Your Life Back

    In this episode I talk about how forgiving the people who hurt me in my past allowed me to finally make peace with what happened, and gave me the power to choose a life I actually wanted moving forward. Yes, it's a tough pill to swallow (and I'm stubborn AF) but I know it's totally worth it. Oh and even more importantly WE MUST FORGIVE OURSELVES xoxo
